A Fistful of Arcana

This is a fantastic addition to the lore of the Persona series, and follows up on the characters from both P3 & P4. On top of that, it's well executed as a fighting game, with enough variety and systems to distinguish it from other fighters out there. You can really see the work put into this game from the sheer amount of named attacks and skills that made their way into characters' move lists: Yu's low dash attack is swift strike, Mitsuru has the bufu skills at her disposal, and even the status effects are all present. It's clear that Atlus intended this to be a well-respected entry in the Persona series, rather than just a quick cash grab, which just shows how much they care about the fans out there. Everything about this game comes across as slick, from the beautifully fluid character animations to the always stellar soundtrack, returning from both previous games. Even if you're not very good at fighting games but want to follow the story, it features an auto-combo mechanic to help beginners at the game make it through battles to get all the story content. If you want to catch up on your favourite characters from Persona 3 or 4 after playing those games, or are looking for a new fighter to get stuck into, then definitely check this one out, and use it as a chance to git gud for when the sequel is released later in the year!

Awsome 2d beat'em uo

Arc system means quality in 2d fighting games. The interesting thing about persona is the plot, che story of the characters, and in Persona 4 Arena, it is possible to follow the story of each one of the 13 carachters of persona 3 and 4. It is really fun and enjoyable, but this doesn't mean it's easy to play. Persona 4 arena could be challenging at the beginning but, as always, practice could do the trick. A valuable game

Meh...

this is not a spin off or a chapter of the marvelous persona 4, this is just a fighting game, but who played the saga will apreciate just for the characters. Poor OST and few arenas.

The quintessence of fighting games!

Hi, I heard a lot of good things about the Persona series although I didn't know it, so I thought this "Arena" spinoff would be a good start to get acquainted with it. I jumped on the opportunity of purchasing 2 pieces so my bro and me can play online together. OMG I didn't regret giving it a try... This is a fast-paced, nervous fighting game that will provide beginners an easy handling as well as advanced techniques for more experienced players (Blazblue addicts will get their share here). Story mode is just huge, the game's atmosphere and setting up is original and really gets you in. There are only 13 characters but at least, there are no dupes or characters-that-only-differs-by-one-or-two-attacks (know what game I'm thinking of ?). Harder difficulty settings and survival mode are quite a challenge if you ask me. The game's BGM is quite like Blazblue with some J-Pop that can sound weird at first glance, but one gets used to it and it suits the game's universe nicely (can't get the song "Signs of love" out of my head now...). Online works like a charm and the community is great and mature. That doesn't happen every other day, does it ?
