Inspired by the reality of counter terrorist operatives across the world, Rainbow Six Siege invites players to master the art of destruction. Intense close quarters confrontations, high lethality, tactics, team play, and explosive action are at the center of the experience.
Lone wolves may be a little disappointed by the fact that Single player operations are more of a training mode than anything else. Siege is multiplayer through and through, and this multiplayer gameplay sets a new bar for intense firefights and expert strategy in the rich legacy of past Rainbow Six games.

In Rainbow Six Siege you take control of an operator as part of a counter terrorist unit. Different operators have different nationalities, perks, abilities and equipment and it’s thankfully easy enough to unlock them all and get to work on experimenting with their individual skills. Examples include Sledge, who bashes walls down with a hammer, Blitz and his flashbang riot shield, and Doc, who revives from distance with a syringe gun. Operating in tight formations, they are experts of close quarter combat, demolition, and coordinated assaults.
For the first time in Rainbow Six, players engage in ‘sieges’, a brand-new style of assault. Enemies now have the means to transform their environments into strongholds: they can trap, fortify, and create defensive systems to prevent breach by Rainbow teams. But with Ubisoft Montreal’s proprietary Realblast engine, destruction is your ally. players now have the unprecedented ability to destroy environments. destruction is meaningful and mastering it is often the key to victory.
The flexibility of approach and the anticipation during play is what makes Siege a special game. So much tension is created by the sound design and cramped environments that the moment where two teams clash is always a genuine thrill – a test of nerves as much as a test of aim.
Rainbow Six Siege is available on Zavvi for Xbox One and PS4.
