It may be just under a full year away, but anticipation for the 2012 Olympic games continues to rise briskly. The appearance of a small influx of Olympic-themed videogames next year is probably guaranteed, but getting the drop on all of them is this month’s Summer Challenge, which is now available for pre-order on zavvi.com. One of the most interesting things about it is that it has been totally optimised for multiple players, so whether you’ve got a full living room or a packed online contact list, the game encourages friends to play together at every turn. Interestingly, the game’s release date coincides with the start of the World Athletics Championships in Daegu, South Korea, which is the last major athletics championship to take place for the 2012 Olympics. See below for more info on the game, and the latest trailer.
