Yes, but the Premium Edition offers better value than buying them separately, plus Premium members gain access to the content two weeks early.

What exactly are these themed expansion packs?

So much more than just additional maps, Battlefield 3’s themed expansions present you with a set of five entirely new experiences. Back to Karkand (available now) is a vivid trip down memory lane, featuring beloved maps from previous Battlefield games and a light emphasis on vehicle warfare. Close Quarters (also available now) is all about lightning-paced infantry combat that takes place in tight, highly destructible environments. The latest expansion is called Armored Kill and it places a huge emphasis on vehicle combat across four brand new maps; there’s also a new gameplay mode called Tank Superiority, and an array of new vehicles and weaponry. The next two packs are called Aftermath – due in December – and Endgame, which is due in March next year; the latter of which is pretty much shrouded in secrecy at this point.

What is known about Battlefield 3: Aftermath?

Not much, but the game’s developer DICE did recently reveal a few morsels of new information – click here to read through them.

What languages are available?
