My favourite Nintendo game has got to be Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Winter Games. I loved completing all the different games with the recognizable faces from Mario and Sonic. I remember playing it whilst watching the Vancouver games on tv, especially when there was the odd boring game of curling or something! Can’t wait for the London 2012 game!

My favourite Nintendo game and also one of the classics in videogame history is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the N64. I remember playing it as a kid and being instantly immersed in Link’s adventure. I played it with one of my best friends and was even satisfied with just watching him play. I think that the 3D implementation will add a new layer of awesome to the game!

My favourite Nintendo game of all time is the original Harvest Moon for Gameboy Colour. This game is a classic and none of the subsequent Harvest Moon titles have ever lived up to the precedent set by this one. It was challenging without being ridiculous, did not over-complicate things by having too many elements and it let the player go at their own pace, building additional buildings and acquiring animals when they felt like it. This game made me fall in love with the series at the age of 5 and because of this, I have continued to buy its other titles for both DS and Wii however none will ever be as good as that first game I ever played!

My favourite Nintendo game is, without any doubt Super Mario Bros. The best versions so far are New Super Mario for the Wii and for the DS. Reason for this is that gameplay is very addictive and Wii version is true family game. I’m really looking forward to play Super Mario 3D Land when that’s available.

My favourite Nintendo game of all time is Super Mario 64 without a doubt. As of today I still play the game on its DS version and I enjoy as if it were my first time playing it. It’s the most fun and challenging game I’ve ever played and I seriously doubt I will play a better game for the rest of my life (can’t wait for Super Mario 3D Land!), and I have to thanks Nintendo for that

My favourite Nintendo game has definitely got to be Pokemon Snap, Pokemon snap really used an IP for something totally different, it was amazing as a young boy taking pictures of the Pokemon that we all dreamed were real. Just imagine if they created a new version of this game but brought it up to date! Breathtaking!

Favourite Nintendo game of all time?! Hmm… tricky one. Nintendo have typically been about fun and innovative games, with lastability and playability. There are many, many great games that I’d struggle picking a top 10 let alone an ultimate favourite! But just because I’m still playing it in some form decades later, I’m gonna go with the original Super Mario Bros. This is the game that started it all. Easy to control; fun gameplay…excellent sound and graphics; and the start of many Mario games to come. I’ve had this one the NES, SNES, on the Wii’s Virtual Console, and lately, as part of the Ambassador programme, the 3DS. It’s as great now as it was then, and appeals to old and new gamers alike. Bring on Mario 3DS!!

Diddy Kong Racing for me. The music was great and it fun just riding about in the hub world. This came out just after everyone made Mario Kart clones and the market was getting stale and saturated, fortunately Rare took a fresh approach to make it work by including sea and air vehicles as well as your standard karts. It can still hold it’s own today.

My Favourite Nintendo game has to be Mario 64 becuase it took the Mario franchise to a whole new level of gameplay and I now consider it a mile stone to which all current and future Mario games take insperation, I also remember spending countless hours playing through levels with friends trying to collect and do everything just to complete the game and start over again for the fun of it. Even though it wasnt the first true Mario game I always considerd my first true Mario experience

My favorite nintendo console has to be the gamecube, but my favorite game off that has to be and still is one of my favorite games of all time. Mario sunshine. It was such a great game, it had platforming levels, it had humor, it had great characters and great music and to top that off it had a good story as the island lost all its shines and you had to get them all back across an array of colorful and fun levels. Sunshine also had lots of exploration you could do back at the isle of delphino, you had to find those extra shines hiding all around the place. It was such fun! Plus you got to ride yoshi and spit fruit juice about! who doesn’t like yoshi!?

Super Mario Brothers for NES. The classic game. I love it since i was three years old, playing it over and over again, without even reach the third world, but keeping trying. It’s absolute fun in its simplicity: jump, collect coins and mushrooms, defeat the bad guy and save the princess. In this day a friend of mine told me that in his opinion super mario was a stupid game, even if he’d never tried it. I could let him try it on my 3ds (thanks nintendo for the ambassador games!), at first he wasn’t very excited about it (for concistency of course!), but some days later he told me “Are you carrying on your 3DS?”, my answer “Yes…why?”, “Let me play super mario! Now!”. You can’t immagine my laugh at that statement, but also i was happy that he finally understood what a great game Super Mario Brothers (and of course all the other games with our favourite plumber). Thanks Miyamoto for a such great game!
Next step: Super Mario 3D Land!

My favourite Nintendo game is “Super Mario Galaxy”. I’ve played all the other Mario games and watched him progress from tiny pixels to the fully fleshed Mario we see today. He looks so real! His expressions are priceless, the gameplay addictive and soaring through the galaxy with Mario is the only way to see the stars. I played it for hours on end, completed it, then went back to play it again and again because it was just so beautiful and the music score inspiring (it’s even on my I-pod!)It was the kind of game that showed that you didn’t need HD graphics to be beautiful or big explosions to be engaging.

I’d have to say Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. While Ocarina of Time was (and still is) a great game Majora’s Mask equalled it in many ways and surpassed it in most. Every time I failed a side quest I’d feel really bad for the people I let down and would have to re-start the mission and make sure I pass it. This was the first game to make me feel like that and that feeling hasn’t really be matched since.

My favorite Nintendo game is one of the greatest video games of all time. Super Mario Bros 3 for NES was the first console game I ever played so I have fond memories of it. It is the reason Mario still lives on today. It set the rules for most mario games that followed by providing a map screen for each of the 8 worlds in which mario could advance to each new level. It also introduced a vast arsenal of power-ups for mario, as opposed to previous titles where only the Super Mushroom and Fire Flower were avaliable. It also produced a whole cast of charecters that are still included in Mario titles today, such as the Koopa children and Boos. The gameplay was fantastic and the controls were easy to use for any level of gamer.

There are many so many good nintendo games but my favourite has always been Zelda 64 – Ocarina of Time. I don´t know just how many times I have completed this game – riding around hyrule with Epona was amazing and finding all those little secrets was pure fun.

Favourite Nintendo game is like asking which of your limbs is your favourite. For me, it has to be Super Mario World on the SNES. It was one of the first games I ever played and is still playable and enjoyable to this day and we’re still using elements of it to this day.

My favourite game is The Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask. It was the first 3D Zelda and the first N64 game I played.
The atmosphere, the amount of optional quests, the change of gameplay during the game (with the masks), the soundtrack from Ocarina of Time, make this game the best ever. And I hope to see Majora’s Mask 3D released on Nintendo 3DS !

There are a lot of good games on nintendo.
Famous series like Mario, The Legend of Zelda, they are great games. But the one who really kicks ass is Nintendogs and Cats. The game can teach people how to take care of your pet and that is really important, because unfortenaly many people don´t do or don´t know how to do it.

My favvourite Nintendo game of all time is Mario Kart 64.
I played for hours with some friends in my class and over time we grew better and better friends. The competitive nature, the Schadenfreude when you hit your friend right before the finish line with a green shel and hummming the music, that are things that stuck in my head until this day. Playing this game with my friends became a weekly event through which I got the chance to make the best friends, that I ever had. It migt not be the greatest game in and of itself, but it brought people together and showed how social video games can be.

My favourite game is Donkey Kong Country for SNES. I like the gameplay and the graphics. The game used advanced 3D (for the time) It was a traditional sidescrolling platformer like Super Mario Bros. The 3D style graphics along with all the extra bonus levels and surprises made Donkey Kong Country as unique as they come.

My favourite Nintendo game is Donkey Kong 64. It is such an expansive game, with so much to do. Some parts are quite tricky, but keep trying and you will succeed. I like the fact that you get to play as each of the characters, each with their own things to collect and their own abilities. It’s not one of those games that you can complete in just a short time – you certainly got your money’s worth.

My favourite Nintendo game is The Legend of Zelda: A link to the past. Surely one of the first Nintendo games I played. It looks great, plays great and I absolutely cannot see any flaw in this game. Oh, and amazing soundtrack too.
It’s so fun to wander around the world and find great hidden content like heart containers.
I’d like to play it again some day !

My favourite Nintendo game is without question The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. With its fantastic gameplay, ground-breaking level design and compelling story, it is perhaps the most significant game of the modern era of video-games. Also it doesn’t hurt that after 13 years, it is still fantastic to play!

I totally love Tales of Symphonia for Nintendo GC. Like, it’s so real, with all the racism different races experience just because of who they are. It reminds me of Nazi Germany time like situations. Or the superiority complex of the church or the clashing of ideals. Also, great soundtrack.
But also other games, like the classic Mario games for NES, nintendo 64 or GC

My favorite Nintendo game is any “Harvest Moon” game, but “Super Mario Galaxy” gave me the passion and interest to play platform games. My partner has every Mario game, but I had never really played them that much. When she got “SMG” I sat beside her for hours watching her play it… it was so beautiful and engaging! It made me really want to play a Mario game for the first time. I then did the same thing with “Zelda: Twilight Prnicess”, which was like watching a film! This also made me want to play the game, and all of the other Zelda games on the Nintendo systems. Nintendo games are the ones I can sit and watch someone else play and be thoroughly entertained, as well as moved to the point of wanting to play them myself!

My all-time favorite Nintendo title? That would be the original “Super Mario Bros.” for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
Super Mario had a very large influence with who I am today. In fact, this was the very first videogame I have ever played when I was a kid. My love for this game helped developed my interest and passion in game development and graphic design. And it still does!
Sure, Mario have progressed a lot through all these years — graphically, story-wise, music, even gameplay-wise. We continue to meet new friends and explore unique and colorful worlds from all those Mario titles that have been or are still being developed. But for me, nothing can compare to the original.
Don’t get me wrong, all those games are awesome and they all offer countless hours of fun and enjoyment. I can’t even wait for all those new 3DS Mario titles that will be released later this year. But still, nothing beats the challenges, replayability and endless fun the original Super Mario Bros. brings. Nothing beats the classic.

Rock n Roll Racing on the SNES.

It’s an obvious choice, but Mario 64 still stands up as a great game for players of all abilities.
Casual players can work through the easy bits and still get to the end of the game, enjoying some diverse 3D playgrounds along the way (the likes of which were unseen before).
More dedicated players are rewarded for their efforts with roughly twice as much content. Beating Bowser was the haf-way point – getting all the stars was the only way to truly say you had finished the game.
Also, both groups of gamers could enjoy it for its drip-feed of challenges, each of which didn’t take too long to do on its own, but led to that elusive “just one more” feeling.
Nintendo’s strength is in balancing games for all types of player, and nowhere did they do it better than Mario 64.

It’s got to be Super Mario Bros. I grew up in the release of the zx spectrum and amstrad era and it’s quite true to that in playing style. It’s also a game that the whole family enjoy although even after hours and hours of play the children are still so much better.

For me the greatest Nintendo Game ever is still Goldeneye on the N64. Yes there were problems with it and it wasnt perfect, but it is the ONLY game I have ever been captured by. When I bought my first ever games console the N64, I was torn whether to wait and buy the new Sony Playstation console that was set to revolutionise gaming or to choose a Nintendo 64 bundle with Goldeneye. I was captured, I loved it and have never looked back. My first gaming memories, my first time having friends to multiplayer with and my first experience of multiplayer gaming on a screen.
A fantastic game all around.

Metroid Prime for the Gamecube. Getting out of the ship and seeing Tallon IV for the first time was bewildering. And this game you had to use your head to survive. Scan everything to find what they are and see what their weaknesses are. Exploring and finding upgrades for you quest and the fighting the final boss at end never felt more thrilling. The game still holds well today.

My favorite game of all time is a Nintendo game, it is Ocarina of Time. I was lucky and unlucky in my life, I was 8 years old when I had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery as my appendix was in a very bad state, afterwards I received a gift from my grandparents, it was a Nintendo64. In Christmas I was gifted Ocarina of Time and spend quite a lot of time around it with friends trying to solve the nasty water temple! The song in the Lost Woods is still in my head many years later and I often play the Zelda songs on the piano. For this I find myself lucky, if I had never gotten the Nintendo64, I wouldn’t had such a mark in my childhood whom I shared with my friends and family

zelda ocarina of time is the best nintendo game of all time because it has character, the music is very atmospheric and you get so much into the game that you care about the characters.amazing detail has been put into the game down to the suns shadow moving as the day goes on.it is a game for the younger or older players and it has little mini games aswell if you need a little break from the main storyline.in all it is a game that has everything and i dont think a better game will ever come out!

My favourite Nintendo Game? Without batting an eyelid, Super Smash Brothers Meelee. No other game in the history of games has created so many arguments between me and my friends:
“Roy is overpowered!”
“No he’s not! He’s just… good!
“Stop being lame with Jigglypuff”
“RAMBOPUFF RAMPAGE OF DEATH!”
“Ice Climbers is cheating cos theirs two of them!”
“You’re only winning because the map is giving you all the good items!”
It was a great way to relieve stress after a long day at work and university… or it could stress you out so much more if you weren’t playing particularly well. I sat there and mastered every character so my friends and flatmates couldn’t complain when I beat them as a character they considered “lame”. I even bought a second hand Gamecube specifically for the game when I moved to uni! It will always hold a little place in my heart!

Love every Mario and Zelda games but I have to choose Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land, life it’s all about experiences and memories and this is a game that I see me playing 30 years from now, and every time that I will turn on my classic gameboy to play this I will remember much about my life, my childhood when I just want to play a nice nintendo game without caring at the graphics, the sound, etc…

Super Mario Bros has to be recognised as the best, it’s style and content led on to the development of much of the blistering games we have around now. It’s colourful graphics and wacky gameplay and it’s historic ‘Oasis v Blur’ tussle with Sonic made the games industry what it is today

My favourite Nintedo game, being a total newbie to Nintendo,is the one with grooming the yellow labrador. At Jolly Day Out, my 5 year old daughter and I went to the Nintendo tent and tried it for the first time. My daughter took no time to pick it up and didn’t want to leave. She loved it and would be so happy if one appeared at Christmas!!

My favourite Nintendo game of all time…. it’s a tough one, over the years there has been so many; Super Mario 3, Super Mario World, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong the list could go on and on but if I could only choose one I would choose The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time!
I remember being about 9 years old when it was released and I was instantly hooked, I can’t tell you how many times I have played this game, I must of finished the Deku Tree over 100 times, I have became adult Link countless times and finished the game multiple times. I have owned it on N64, Gamecube, Wii and hopefully will be able to complete it more times in the future, it truly is a near perfect game, only a couple of games in history are as great as this. Games such as Final Fantasy 7, most Super Mario games, Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid etc. These games along with Zelda will go down in history and will be remembered forever.

Has got to be Super Mario Bros.
It used to get the whole family playing, me as a little girl, my dad in his 40′s. My two cousins who were 6 and 8 years older than me would toss a coin to get the second controller.
Even today it’s still a great game, always interesting and Mario and Luigi are as iconic as stars of the silver screen.

I loved Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Having been raised on Playstation, I never knew what Zelda games were like until then, and it opened a new world to me – adventure games without levelling up, unlike Final Fantasy games which, although fun, did get tedious with the leveling up. Now I am such a fan of the series that I plan on buying an old Gamecube console and playing the previous games of Zelda!

I’ve never had the chance to play a Zelda game before, so my favourite Nintendo game has to be anything from the Pokemon series on the handhelds, especially Pokemon Silver when it originally came out (so much new stuff/being able to visit locations from R/B/Y was mindblowing then), and Pokemon Black now for rekindling the sense of nostalgia by making it seem new all over again.

Super Mario Galaxy 2. In fact I could have picked out of a number of Mario titles as they are mostly all of very high quality. However, I think Mario Galaxy 2 is remarkable for a number of reasons. Firstly, it highlights how the Mario franchise is still fresh and innovative after numerous titles. Secondly, it manages to improve on a game that many critics thought was near-perfect. Thirdly, the graphics do not seem out of place despite the fact it (and the Wii) are competing with HD consoles. Lastly, the game is a sheer joy to play, with hundreds of new gameplay ideas throughout and a level design that caters for a variety of skill levels. I think the games core idea about movement and motion (of Mario) as its selling point is a nice contrast to some of the brutal and violent alternatives out there today!

I still remember one game about a plumber who wants to save a princess that attracted everyone when it was released on Nintendo console (NES), and yet after more than 20 years, many people still play it (on PC).
It was fun to memorized the location of the mushroom, flower, and 1Up mushroom (that I would chase all the way, even if it would cost me a life, how ironic huh :p).
Still remember how I would carefully walked into the edge of the top of the stairs at the end of a Stage, then quickly pressed -> + A + B to jump to the top of the pole, to get the flag.
I still remember there are some stages that I can skip if I walk along the top bricks in the underground world.
But I can’t remember the name of the game!! I hope this doesn’t mean I don’t have the chance to get a Nintendo 3DS for free? :p

LEGEND OF ZELDA – LINK’S AWAKENING (1993)- is my top 1 Nintendo game of all time.
Those are 5 reasons why:
#1- It redefined the portable gaming with a – Save option-
, yes at that time You couldn’t really save on anything, as the game cartridges weren’t writable.
#2- Puzzles and story were groundbreaking introducing new mechanics with a great emotional story.
#3- 20+ hours of gameplay with awesome replyability, it hooked me up so much that I had to finish that game three times.
#4- Most of the present RPG’S can’t match the level of genius that Zelda presented in 1993
#5- I love portable gaming – it’s something that redefine the way You play the games – how different it can be to play in You bedroom and then on Your balcony or lying under the tree, and Link’s Awakening was the title that showed me how great the portable gaming can be.
It was a great ride which I will never forget, I recommend to play it even now – after 18 years of it’s launch. And You know what is great about playing it right now ? You wouldn’t have to buy 100 batteries to finish the game – just like it was 20 years back !

Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. The 3 day cycle mechanic was so different to anything in any game I’d played up till then, and the apocalyptic mood looming over the entire experience (quite literally) really gave the action a sense of weight and significance.

It’s so hard to just pick one games to be my favourite. I decided that it had to be the one I’ve played most for the longest time, the one I keep going back to and it ended up being Pokemon mystery dungeon – Blue rescue team. I do have all the pokemon games and love them but this one I tend to keep going back to more than the others. I really cant wait to see a 3D Pokemon game, with the timing of the release of Black and White I was disapointed that they weren’t for the 3DS but I can still hope for the next one

Without doubt, has to be Super Mario on Super Nintendo, it is one of the few games in the world that you can enjoy over and over again no matter how old it is. I used to wake up super early just so I could play it before going to school, has to be up there with Pokemon as one of Nintendo’s best games.

My favourite nintendo games ar the Professor Layton series. When I am playing them I get so angry with some of the puzzles, and wish it would just finish. But then when it does finish I am really dissapointed and cant wait for the next one to come out.

Bejeweled Twist, can play it over and over again easy to do and l understand what l am doing

My favourite is probably Super Smash Bros Melee. A very easy to pick up and play game that had a unique twist on the beat them up / fighting genre. The fact that it brought together all the different Nintendo franchises together into 1 game is brilliant as well. The multiplayer was sublime, getting 3 friends round to play locally will always be so much more fun to play in the same room than playing online.

Super Mario World on the SNES. I still have my SNES set up to this day, and this is one of the reasons. The first game I remember going into school and everyone was talking about how many levels they had unlocked, or secrets they had found (of which there were loads). Its still great fun to play and even though the franchise is now 3-D, the game play is what is important and this title has it all.

Best Nintendo game 4 me has to be Mario Kart Wii.
The fact that Mario kart can be played online against 12 other players around the world is the best thing.
Anybody that has a Nintendo console before the Wii and DS will know that playing against the computer or against 1 to 3 other players that are good or bad at the game can get boring very quickly.
I think Nintendo will have to do a proper gaming network such as XBox live & Play station Network where players can trash talk & talk to each other while plaing online or not. This feature would have been great on Wii & old Nintendo console games such as Mario Kart, Dragon Ball Z,Zelda, Naruto/Naruto Shippuden,Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Tiny Toons Adventure,Earth Worm Jim, Star Fox, The Simpsons game, South Park, One Piece, Bleach, Final Fantasy, Guilty Gear to name a few.

Super Street Fighter II is still the best fighting game of all time some 15 years after its original release. Unbelievably this was the fourth Street Fighter II game but it improved upon previous versions with more characters and better visuals. Pitch perfect fighting action.

Super Mario Brothers. That game made Nintendo instantly recognisable. Until then, everyone was playing games on their commodore 64′s and atari’s!

Has to be the original Mario Kart, such a simple game, yet so much depth! Elements and sometimes the whole game have been the “inspiration” for so many other games, yet arguably, aside from the graphics, it has yet to be improved upon

My favourite is Mario Kart on the Wii platform.
The Multi player option is the best by far.

I absolutely LOVE Mario Kart on any nintendo platform.
Each version and their differences is just amazing on all levels. Also the choice of characters, vehicles, race maps is all awesome and sometime challenging. And the ability to play with friends across the world is just fantastic!

My favourite is definitely Pokemon, being a 90s kid and watching the franchise adapt and still manage to capture people’s hearts today is just fantastic! It’s a must for everyone, and I really hope that Pokemon 3DS will be released in the future

My favourite is Mario Galaxy. A truly incredible game that offered a true masterclass in 3D platforming mechanics, ingenious and varied level design, and some really excellent implementation of the Wii’s motion sensing capabilities.
Truly the ultimate refinement of the rock solid groundwork Nintendo had laid with Mario 64.

What a lot of answers! So I will add my answer : I don’t one favorite Nintendo game, cause I can’t only have one! So I will give my favorite games by console.
On SNES : My first console, and the first game I remember to play : Super Mario World. I like the Characters, the Special Zone with all the Yoshis and a lot of secrets and levels. Just the best Mario Ever! I would like to have another one on the 3DS. It was sooooooooooooo good.
On GB : Gotta Catch’Em All!! POKEMOOOOON! My first own console and game, the Red Version. It was so fun, so good. I played hours and hours! And I have all the Pokemon, even Mew, but one : This Fu***** Kabutops! Just one missing! Since I buy all the Pokemon Games. But not the last one, too weird for me.
On N64 : Not a real Nintendo game : Banjo-Kazooie. For me it was better than Super Mario 64, funnier and different at the same time even if we had to collect Jiggies like Stars! New characters, new worlds, new everything! First “3d Game”.
On Gamecube : Without hesitation : SUPER SMASH BROS MELEE! Just the best fight game with all the characters I like. Always play with Zelda or Link.
Aaaaaaaand that’s all! 4 games, 4 great consoles

Its got to be Luigi’s Mansion!!
I must have been about 14 or something when I played this and was quite frightened by the ghostly characters…though it was great fun sucking up the damn ghosts away!
Ahh…looking back now it was incredible and that there was totally nothing to be scared about. Also loved the way Luigi would call out to Mario if you pressed one of the control buttons, where if he shrank due to a mini mushroom or something he would call out in an even cuter squeakier voice!! Ahhh, thinking about it now make me want to play it again, now!

Mario Kart wins for multiplayer mayhem over 4 DS consoles or on a single SNES/N64 or Wii console with split screen. The fact that it can be played by both young and old alike is testament to Nintendo’s family attitude.

Super Mario Bros 3: It’s the perfect game. It’s equally frustrating and enjoyable to the extent that if you were to die near the end of the world, you would play through the most difficult and infuriating levels to get back there. The reward may just be to be told ‘The Princess isn’t here, try the next world but have this letter she appears to have sent us with power ups attached’ but then that just makes the game bigger and grander, and with every world passed the anticipation of finding out what has happened. Why is it better than all the other Mario games? It pips it because it has it just right. The ones that came before were occasionally too simple, or weren’t very exciting to look at. The follow ups tried to do too much all at once but never were quite as fun. SMB3 had an incredible visual style, with just enough of the older Mario games style with a great sprinkle of experimentation. I love it.

I think the best game is Super Mario 64 because it took Mario games from a 2d world to a 3d world, and the result was perfect! Also, it was a game with a great longevity!

The original Super Mario Bros. I revisited this recently and it still holds up surprisingly well (and it also brought back good memories of sitting crossed legged on the bedroom floor with my brother taking turns to play it).

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The game is pretty much legendary and so many people get that sense of nostalgia from it. Even Navi’s insanely annoying comments couldn’t bring the game down.
Also, the Pokemon series is ridiculously addictive.

Mario Kart Wii – pick up and play, great graphics, fair learning curve, and multi player for all ages, we still go back to it regularly to have a family showdown to see whos best between us adults and the kids. Also the online lap time facility on the mario kart channel. great all rounder of a game.

I think my favourite has to be Mario Kart Super Circuit for the GBA just for the simple fact that Mario is a timeless classic. It never gets old, and this was the game that introduced me to the world of Mario which I’ve been able to share the experience with family and friends.

Earthbound. Never have I enjoyed a game so much that I knew nothing about before I slotted it into my console. My mum bought it for me for my birthday when I was a nipper, because it came in a big box and looked child friendly. Good call Mum. From the epic A4 illustrated player’s guide (remember those?) to the hours of turn based fun, it was truly a brilliant game.
Fast forward from 1995 (age 13) to 2011 (age 28) and I played through the game again. It’s still fun! Yes, the graphics are dated but the gameplay is timeless and Ness is still THE MAN.

It would have to be the Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass, because this was my first proper Zelda game and it led to me playing many other amazing Nintendo games including more of the Zelda series. I spent so much time on Phantom Hourglass trying to get every single collectible item I was so happy when I got the full Golden Boat.

Not sure if this was made by Nintendo but Wetrix for the N64 was by far the best game. A seemingly weird game where you had to build reservoirs, walls and suchlike to contain the falling rain and fire on a square platform suspended in the air (umm, sounds very strange even to me). One of those games you have to play to understand how great it was/is.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village. My husband, myself and a friend were visiting the U.S. staying in San Francisco. Our friend had had an op and we were spending most of our time in our hotel room. We bought a NDS plus the Professor Layton game and took turns playing it. It kept us entertained for hours and really challenged all of us. Now whenever a new Professor Layton game is due out we buy a copy and between us play it again, just like before. Our friend is from Italy, we are from England but the game really does cross international ways of thinking.

Zelda:A link to the Past, an absolutely fantastic game!
The love the fact that there are two seperate worlds that you can flip between: good and evil and the way they mirror each other is very clever.
The sheer imagination and ingenuity put into this game always knocks me for six.
Like all good games, it starts out easy only to become fiendishly difficult by the second half.
Stole many hours of my youth!

It has to be “The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time” on the N64. This game was so far ahead of its time it’s ridiculous. The fact that the 3DS update of this 13 year old game is regarded by many as the best game on the system says it all really. An absolute classic that everyone must play through at least once.
Sep 20, 2011

I don’t have a favourite Nintendo game because I don’t own a Nintendo DSi. I’d love to have one and desperately want to win this competition so I can decide which is my favourite of the three games! Thank you.

That is a very difficult question, I’ve been a Nintendo gamer my whole life and they’ve released so many amazing games. If I had to choose I would pick Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The story is fantastic, the music gives me goosebumps, and it’s so atmospheric, like you are really there. Shigeru Miyamoto and Koji Kondo are absolute legends in my eyes. Plus spending hours just riding round on Epona and jumping the fences that take you to Lake Hylia is a lot of fun. I also like jumping off the edge of the cliff near Gerudo Valley and not dying haha.
A Link to the Past and Goldeneye are also standout games for me. Plus all the Mario games except Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Ball. :/

Pokémon HeartGold!
I enjoyed watching Pokémon on TV, and having the chance to collect and evolve these lovable creatures is really cool! Nintendo’s Pokémon games have lasted throughout the years and still continue to be as fun today as they were originally!
In my favourite, Pokémon HeartGold, the graphics are much improved. With the addition of the ‘Pokéwalker’, I can even carry a Pokémon with me when I go out & about!

Legend of Zelda the Ocarina of Time is still to this day the most captivating game I’ve ever played. Drenched in classic sword and sorcery legends and myths, mesmerizing dungeons and endless gameplay, OoT really did offer the perfect window for escaping into the land of Hyrule that previous titles, Link to the Past, Oracle of Ages/Seasons couldn’t quite master. A truly epic game.

Mariokart is easily the best Nintendo game ever. Cant wait to see it in 3D, have resisted the urge to buy the 3DS so far but this game may well mean I have to get one! Mariokart is a classic, still in the gaming charts years later. Even the original version is still highly playable. The world would be a boring place without Mario Kart!

Zelda OoT is the ultimate game of all time! I first played it on the N64 when I was a kid and have never looked back. Its stands alone from any other game I have played, and time after time, year after year, I can still go back and play it and feel all the excitement as I did with the first time I played it! The adventure, the story, the puzzles, the characters, the music, the scenery, the combats and the all over beauty of this game makes this stand out as something that no other game can match! Zelda is just pure genius, and nothing short of a masterpiece!

My favourite Nintendo game of all time has to be The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.
Nintendo took a risk in changing the graphics and look of Link from Ocarina and Majora’s Mask to the bright colourful, future Hyrule we now all know and love from an excellent trio of games (Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks too). Toon Link is my favourite incarnation of Link to date, and the way his eyes were able to portray such personality was a key factor in why I loved the game so much.
Oct 2, 2011

My favorite Nintendo game is without a doubt Super Mario World (on the Super Nintendo). It perfectly embodied everything I love about gaming: It had the power to transform me back into a little kid. My favorite Nintendo game is Conker’s bad fur day for N64. Not because the vulgarity in the game but because of the changes made to the game. I have a commercial paper from nintendo showing Conker in an all happy land helping polar bears and other animals. But then the game got released and it was packed with vulgarity! The game wasnt just vulgar but it was awesome made, it has voice actors for all the charakters and awesome animations, they also have movie references. In the intro to the game they have a references from “A clockwork orange” for an example. So thats why i love this game, its kinda unique for the N64!
Oct 4, 2011

Mario Kart wii. Its so much fun to play

My all-time favourite, ultimately epic Nintendo game is, unsurprisingly, The Legend of Zelda; Ocarina of Time. From those school afternoons monopolising my best friend’s N64, to the day my pocket money had finally reached it’s Gamecube grand target, OoT ruled my childhood. Link got me hooked on the Gameboy (Link’s Awakening), but the Ocarina of Time made me his lifelong fan.
