WINNER - Well done to Liam from Stockton on Tees! You are the lucky winner of this fantastic book!
Madness the iconic British band from London have lauched their new book. This fantastic group that formed in 1976 and mixed ska and rock ‘n’ roll rhythms with social comment and music hall humour became a British group like no other. They were one of the most successful UK singles band of the 80’s, offering hits like ‘my girl’, ‘baggy trousers’ and ‘house of fun’. ‘House of fun the story of Madness’ the book, by John Reed, has just been published. It offers an affectionate, yet insightful version of events, with interviews with those who have worked with Madness over the years. The book covers their inter-band disputes, their accusations of racism and their eventful split in 1988. ‘House of fun’ for the first time, tells the story of Madness.

To win a copy of ‘House of fun the story of Madness,’ just simply let us know your favourite Madness song by leaving a comment below. The competition ends on Thursday 11th November. The winner will be chosen at random and notified on Friday the 12th via email.

House of Fun incidentally. I used to love it when I was younger, but love it even more now after actually getting the meaning of the lyrics.
