majestic edition
By passing remarks about the artistic value of the film, I note the elegance of this steelbook. Despite the matte covering, it is one of the most stylized zavvi editions.

A Fair Addition to the Steel book / Movie Genre
Comparing this particular release to other steel book releases one can easily say that this is a fairly average addition. I have seen steels that are far superior in quality / embossing and design to this. Though not all bad and a probable must for any Punisher fan. The movie has the same resulting affect. It can best be described as a near miss. Although Thomas Jane plays a decent incarnation of the vigilante, the story and pace of the movie are slow and dull. Which is why there was no sequel. For now there are not many choices as far as Punisher goes and this is probably as good as it gets.

No more Jails....
The Punisher starring Thomas Jane is a far superior animal than both its predecessor starring Dolph Lungren (although not a bad film for its day ) and successor starring Ray Stevenson (truly awful ). It starts off with Frank Castle enjoying his family life , which is then abruptly and violently taken from him. Needless to say , he becomes the Punisher and what follows is a revenge driven action drama interspersed with insightful character analysis of both Frank and notably the weird but clever acting of Ben Foster who plays his neighbour.( Always worth watching a film for. ). I really enjoyed watching this on blu ray as the high def gives it a little more depth in both sound and vision than I previously had when viewed on a computer. The steelbook as you can see sports the infamous skull design worn by the Punisher in most of his incarnations backed in blood red metallic paint. Very good value for money when purchased in the flash sale but still a nice steelbook to have at the full price. VERDICT: Steelbook case 9/10 : Film 8/10 Zavvi 9/10 (delivery cost , speed , packaging etc.)

The punisher
I love this movie. A great marvel movie, though more the adults as it is violent throughout but it still finds time to tell a good story of revenge/ justice and has a few humorous moments. I'm overjoyed this movie is on bluray Steelbook format and now sits firmly in my collection. A must buy for any marvel fan.
