Jerry (Ryan Reynolds) is an affable singleton who works on the factory floor at a bathtub factory, ever eager to get along with his co-workers, especially Fiona (Gemma Arterton) and Lisa (Anna Kendrick) from accounts. After work Jerry goes home to his pet cat, Mr. Whiskers, and loyal dog Bosco, where the three of them hang out, watch TV and discuss the day's events. When one night he accidentally kills Fiona, Jerry hastily covers his tracks, under the strict advice of the subversive Mr. Whiskers. But Jerry is already beyond the reach of his well-meaning psychiatrist Dr. Warren (Jacki Weaver) and things are also looking bad for Lisa, who has taken a shine to Jerry. Despite Bosco trying to keep Jerry on the straight and narrow, Mr. Whiskers seems to be the loudest voice in Jerry's head and soon events have spiraled and salvation is all Jerry can hope for.
Directed by the award-winning Marjane Satrapi (Persepolis), THE VOICES stars Ryan Reynolds (The Proposal, X Men Origins: Wolverine) as Jerry and the voices of Mr. Whiskers and Bosco. Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect, Into The Woods) and Gemma Arterton (Byzantium, The Duchess Of Malfi) also star alongside Jacki Weaver (The Silver Linings Playbook, Animal Kingdom).

Well first of all, the film itself is fantastic and has everything, but the steelbook from Zavvi is beautiful. Using the design of the iconic fridge in the movie was a fantastic move and is by far my favourite steelbook design to dated. I would recommend getting this, whether you are a fan of the movie or are a steelbook collector in general, it's a fantastic item !
The steelbook is good quality and what I've come to expect from Zavvi. The movie itself is utter rubbish... If you like cringe comedy (I don't) you may feel different...
This film is amazing, it looks stunning on Blu Ray. This steelbook is beyond brilliant. At the price it's at while writing this review, it's a steal! Recommended!
This was a very surprisingly great movie. Probably one of Ryan Reynolds best. It is equal parts funny, laugh out loud disturbing and touching. If you're looking for a great black comedy this is highly recommended!
Somewhat lacking in special features, but that's forgivable given how beautifully presented this is, the box design is great.
Nice steelbook edition of this movie. Has a nice glossy feel to it and I managed to pick it up for a great price during a sale. The film itself isn't bad if you like dark humour. But I can see why it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea.
This movie is great! And the Steelbook goes perfect with the movie. This is my favourite Steelbook I own. Everything about the Steelbook from the fridge artwork inside and out, to the back card. They all mean something after you watch the movie. Am glad I found it on Zavvi because I forgot about the movie up until I saw it on the website. If you haven't seen this movie I suggest you to pick up this Steelbook.
This is a funny movie, but it is also weird. A mix between horror, comedy and actually drama... What makes this combination work are the fantastic performances of Ryan Reynolds, Gemma Arterton and Anna Kendrick. I particularly love the steel book edition! Such a cool look... I am pleased I got that one...

The film's a 3 star movie, it's the steelbook that raises the whole thing to 4. The movie itself is as schizophrenic as the main character. It tries to be a drama, a thriller & a comedy but doesn't find a balance. You have to be a fan of black comedies to enjoy this. When the film tries to be funny it often comes off as twisted instead. A steadier hand on the thematic tiller would have brought this in as a classic. As it is, the performances from the cast, Reynolds especially, help keep this from disintegrating. The steelbook is great and would've been enough to score 5 stars with a little embossing.
