Gru (Steve Carell) is your average guy, at least that’s what everyone else thinks. He has a secret that is known by very few; he’s a criminal mastermind! He hasn’t been in the news for a long time, since he stole the Times Square JumboTron. He wants to be in the news once again and be recognised for the genius he is, to do so he’s about to steal something big. Something very, very big; the Moon!
To steal the moon he comes up with an ingenious plan. With the use of a shrink ray, Gru is able to shrink the moon, but before he can do so, a cunning super nerd named Vector (Jason Segel) steals the shrink ray from him! Now he must battle Vector in order to become the super villain that he wants to be known as.
Gru adopts three young girls to help him with his plan in stealing the shrink ray back, but doesn’t count on the fact that he may soon become a father to the girls, and have a moral decision whether to live his dream, or become a good dad.

This was the first 3D film I went to see at the cinema and was just as good on my 3D TV, love this film.

3D was excellent and the story line was a hoot!
Despicable Me 3D is one of my favourite animations, so there wasn't a chance it wouldn't be in my DVD/Blu-ray collection. This is a must have and a must see! It's great for all the family. The minions are hilarious! I received brilliant service from Zavvi as well. I received it in the post a few days before the estimated delivery date.
I like the character Groo, Despicable Me 3D is a pleasant movie with many funny characters, a good movie for children but also adults.
Let's face it - I bought Despicable Me 3D because it was 3D, and because it was cheap. I had seen the movie previously with my kids and they enjoyed it and I thought they might like seeing it in 3D. This comes with both a 3D and 2D disc - the 2D version also includes a bunch of extras as well. The 3D seems pretty good on my Panasonic Projector and the kids enjoyed it, but the best part of this set is the 2D disc. It includes the 3 hilarious mini movies - Banana, Orientation Day and Home Makeover which my kids watch over and over again as well as a bunch of simple interactive games, featurettes etc. Finally there is the "Gru-Control" version of the movie on the 2D disc. Whilst watching the movie in this mode, it keeps getting interrupted by comical sequences with the minions, cheering on the bad guys, chatting by the watercooler, breaking the tv screen etc. The kids have watched this several times now and keep going back for more. I'd highly recommend this disc - it's definitely the most played in our house.
Despicable Me 3D is a great movie for kids and parents alike. It has great animation and a good story. Our 4 year old loves it and I liked it a lot too.
Despicable Me 3D is a great movie and at an incredible price. I'm very happy with the product. The 3D is fantastic and it includes voices in Castilian.
Despicable Me 3D is a fun family film with some very funny moments. The use of 3D in this film is very well done with no reliance on novelty in-your-face-moments, the standout use is definitely the roller coaster coaster sequence. This film is a great addition to any Blu-ray collection and at this price it is a must buy.
