This is a great film for all of you that want action but don't want to put their brain in a jar while watching it. It's depth stems from ideas taken from 1984, Brave new world and Fahrenheit 451, but all incorporated to make a whole and to give context to the world. Although one of the first action scenes does look misleading and most of you might want to abandon the film when they see it, the rest is fantastic. I think I watched it 5 times and it is still entertaining and engaging, especially when you have more context for some scenes if the first half after watching the second half of the film. And the film really benefits from blu-ray quality.

Fantastic!
Equilibrium is easily one of my favourite movies. Christian Bale is as always fantastic in his role as John Preston. The cinematography is wonderful, and multiple rewatchings help to uncover new and surprising tidbits. The fight scenes are literally out of this world. On Blu-ray the quality of the film is fantastic, with the sound properly balanced and the images enhanced greatly over the original. An awesome action movie and highly recommended.
