First Blood

Great classic movie. Action and drama in this different Vietnam film. A soldier who comes back from a lost war and Stallone who shows he is more than a action hero.

great action film

I bought this film because I saw the film on TV and I am a fan of Sylvester Stallone he is brilliant in this film lots of action and fighting a true action film. A must have for any Sylvester Stallone fan collection.

First Blood!

Despite its age, the movie is quite good and the picture quality is nothing to be ashamed of, but what is seriously lacking is the audio portion of the movie. Audio was a major let down for me. The were no surround effects what so ever and no bass during explosions and gunfire scenes. The only good thing about the audio part was that the center channel was extremely clear and conversations were a joy to listen.

Movie: 10/10 Transfer: 3/10

There's no need to praise this legendary action flick - it's as good as you've heard, but surely such a mythical movie deserves a better transfer than THIS? The picture is only marginally better than DVD - unacceptable when you consider that older movies like the Dirty Harry series look a thousand times better than this. It looks like it was sourced from a bad tape transfer rather the original negative. On a 46 inch Full HD screen it looks awful. In a word, if you already have it on DVD, then spare your hard earned for the inevitable ultimate edition. Youll grit your teeth when you see the picture quality of this. I did.
