Halloween: 35th Anniversary - Limited Edition Steelbook.
For this very special release, Anchor Bay went back to the vaults to present this legendary terror classic as never before, including creating an all-new HD transfer personally supervised by the film's original cinematographer, Academy-Award nominee Dean Cundey (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Apollo 13, the Back to the Future trilogy), a new 7.1 audio mix (as well as the original mono audio), a brand-new feature length audio commentary by writer/director John Carpenter and star Jamie Lee Curtis, an all-new bonus feature with Ms. Curtis, as well as selected legacy bonus features from previous ABE releases. Available in a collectible limited-edition steelbook package.
Fifteen years ago, Michael Myers brutally massacred his sister. Now, after escaping from a mental hospital, he's back to relive his grisly crime again, and again... and again.

Young Frankenstein - Blu-ray
The cover image of this steelbook is inspired by the iconic original poster, but with an embossed title which is really effective. The back image of Michael Myers is a great choice, and the disc looks good. I was disappointed to see no image on the inside of the case, but the booklet more than made up for this - a great booklet talking about the films production and with loads of behind the scenes photos which I had never seen before. I am a collector of horror steelbooks and Halloween is my favourite ever film, so if I was impressed I'm sure you will be too :)
There's no more we can ask from this movie: we have a stunning HD remaster supervised by the director of photography himself, new extras specifically for this edition, a wonderful steelbook case with a booklet inside. If you love HALLOWEEN, the one and only original classic from the horror master J.Carpenter, THIS is the best edition you will ever get in home-video.
....of the countless bunch of forgettable Slasher Movies, they try to stuff down our throats nowadays When this came out in 1978, made with a budget so small...it really set the bar high and propelled John Carpenter to an A Director. Still very effective when you view it today and incredible camerawork from Dean Cundey. And if you watch it closely, there is hardly any blood spilled in this flic, it really lives from the suspense and what you don`t see on Camera. Now that new 35th Anniversary release what I´m babling about here, ist magnificent, the best right now in the shops! They created a brandnew HD Transfer which was personally supervised by cinematographer Dean Cundey himself and "Halloween" never loked that good! They even got Carpenter and Star Jamie Lee Curtis to record a brandnew Audio Commentary, also a spanking new Featurette with Curtis. So, why are you still sitting here and reading this? .....go and run like Hell to get this incredible looking Steelbook, it`s really that good!!!!
The Halloween 35th anniversary Blu-ray looks spectacular. When compared to the old release it preserves the film actual look as opposed to making an updated look to the film. This film should look like it was shot in the 70s not this past summer. This is the definitive Halloween Blu-ray and the steel book is a great touch especially when compared to the American release.
