This is an awesome classic steelbook to have. The art simple and slick.

Ridley Scott's beautifully shot and produced fairy tale epic gets a high-def director's cut adding 20 minutes of new footage seamlessly blended into the original, deepening the experience without detracting from it. It still charms and beguiles in a way most others fail mainly due to its fresh-faced stars, Rob Bottin's effects and Jerry Goldsmith's score and it's relative innocence might now seem rather quaint. Sadly, although the film is presented in 2.35 ratio in both theatrical and Director's Cut options with 5.1 DTS, apart from a trailer, that's your lot. With the American Tangerine Dream scored version still unavailable in this country and no features or commentaries, and with the limitations in digitally mastering the original source, it feels like a real missed opportunity to celebrate one of Scott's most underrated films.

I bought this great film as I have fond memories of watching this film. It's one of Tom Cruises earliest roles and a gem of a film by Alien director Ridley Scott. The cinematic look is brilliant and the lighting is superb. Tim Curry as Darkness is one of the roles in movies that stick in my mind...he's superb as the Devil and his heart is for the Princess entirely. I would not hesitate to recommend this amazing movie. Plot, lighting, script, performances are all top notch. Go grab it now...

I love this packaging! For me Legend is timeless. -Some things really just are magical, and this movie have indeed from the very start captured me. Over the years I have shown the movie to many a friend with this enthusiasm, and with good result. It really just is this thing of cinematic history that grabs you are never leaves. And with this steelbook, it absolutely has that look and feel it deserves. As is always the case with us cinephiles; I would have loved more extra material on the disc, but at least with this packaging, It has the home is deserves :)

Legend. Wow..... A great, great movie. Wonderful for children, veterans of horror, grandma, and even a nun. Haha.... Wonderful storyline. A very creative movie. The perfect love story movie for guys who do not like love stories.....great for date night, rainy day, or getting the kids ready for bed! Legend is legendary!!!

Beautifully made steelbook with excellent art, unfortunately it's matte but that's okay when the art is this awsome. Sorry no North American version......

The red is not as bright as in the pictures. Disturbing Cruise picture on inside! I am a huge fan of 80s fantasy and although nice to look at, the movie is poor and lacklustre and sorry but somehow boring and it shouldn't be but this is all looks no content. It sure ain't the Princess Bride!

A film classic that should be in every collection. The optics of the Steel Books is unfortunately very cheap, which is why only 4 stars

It is a very good steelbook, a colours of the issue is different from the picture showed, more red, more beautiful :D
