Love the movie Manhunter so I was very pleased when I got this beautiful Steelbook in the mail from Zavvi! It is definitely one of my all time favorite Steelbooks.

I already own the VHS and DVD releases of this film as it is one of my favourites. The Blu ray version of this film is superb and does full justice to the distinct Michael Mann style of camerawork and pastel shaded colours. The artwork on the steel book edition is also to be recommended for its stark simplicity and is a valuable addition to my collection.

Probably the best packaging of this movie we'll ever get. Luckily its very good indeed. Eerie front cover, and a terrifying inner still from the movie. An easy buy for fans on the movie.

The movie is pretty good, but not as good as Silence of the Lambs or the Hannibal TV show. The Blu-ray comes with about 30 mins of behind-the-scenes, two cuts of the movie, on commentary track and a trailer. The steelbook is really cool, a dark picture of the Tooth Fairy on the front and a picture of Will Graham on the back. And a B/H image of the tooth fairy on the inside. Very glossy. Highly recommended.

This is a terrific film in a beautiful package!

For me the finest Hannibal Lecter movie, surpassing even the excellent Silence Of The Lambs. The cool, detached directorial style lends even more power to the still shocking acts of violence and the in-depth character studies raise it to classic status. The steelbook itself looks stunning with the picture of "The Tooth Fairy" depicted against a jet black background. An essential purchase for all Hannibal fans!

Great film, excellent delivery. I would recommend zaavi. Only one issue is the the price of the item. The price decreased even further after I bought it within a 2 week period.

I've seen this one a few times that's for sure, the titles a Will Graham quote for anyone that missed it. I gave this five stars because of the film itself, I love the film, the music and the actors did a great job so I'm glad it got a steelbook addition that it deserves. The steelbook itself is very distinguishing and looks fantastic and is definitely one to have if your a collector of true classics. Unfortunately as I read in another review, I to was a little dissatisfied when I opened it. Nothing fancy awaits inside like a little poster or atleast an insert about other products or the film itself, at first I thought maybe they forgot to put the extras in but there are no treats inside. Also the dvd layout is the same as not only the standard bluray but even the standard manhunter dvd which I'm a little disheartened about. The bluray isn't mindblowing with bluray detail but it is from 1986. It's a beautiful steelbook and a great film but could have been a little more for the fans in terms of extras. But I'm still happy.

Love, love, love this steelbook. Some steelbooks are really beautiful, and this is one of them. If you are a collector, then you have to own this. It has a really glossy finish, which is quite rare these days. The front image is very simple but striking. The back image is wonderfully contrasting in colour (blood red) & the inside artwork is great. The film is a classic & arguably the best of the 'Hannibal' films. The picture & audio quality are very good & there is an interesting selection of extras. So buy it before it's gone because it's bound to sell out!

.. but just a shame that there is no "Collector" booklet (or any internal bonus content) at all. As usual with Zavvi exclusives of this nature, the SteelBook itself is superb. Much to my relieft, mine was also securely packed (wrapped in bubble and then send in a custom card mailer for DVD sized packages = perfect!). My only disappointments with this limited edition run (resulting in a 4 star rating, not 5) were as follows: 1. The Blu-ray itself is identical to the existing Blu-ray edition (both in terms of content and also [from memory] the disc design (etc.) itself. 2. The aforementioned lack of a "Collector Booklet" (or similar). Not essential, but having already purchased the existing Blu-ray edition, the SteelBook release ends up offering nothing new at all - with the exception, of course, of the SteelBook packaging itself! Still recommended - but only for those yet to purchase a previous Blu-ray edition. -John
