The quality of this 3D production is superb. The movie itself isn't that great, but to show off your new TV it is fantastic!
I saw Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D at the cinema, right after the Sony engineers calibrated the screen, and it was stunning, regardless of the story being a little lacking. I'm pleased to say that the blu ray 3D version doesn't lack anything at all. The visuals are breathtaking and the sound is crisp and clear. The 2D version of the film is also on the disc, which serves as a nice bonus. This provides you the opportunity to buy it now, meaning it's automatically future-proof for later, if you don't have a 3D TV yet. I highly recommend it.
If you are new to 3D and have purchased films that mainly show 3D in depth and not pop out (as the majority do) then buy Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D. The 3D is superb, on par if not better then Avatar. Bullets and stars come out of the screen and fly towards you. Concrete from the walls looks as though it will hit you on the head and gory bits and blood look like they are stuck to your glasses. You will find yourself ducking out of the way of many items that hurtle from the screen. This is what 3D TV was made for. If you like what you see, Angry Driver and Turtles Tale are also worth a look.
Excellent price combined with the ease of use made me choose this product. I mean i have searched for this movie even on ebay and i would always look to buy stuff from zavi. Oh and the deliver was great so it is another bonus.
Very quick purchase and price was best around at the time.
This is a must have 3D dvd if you have a 3D tv. From the opening credits the 3D is amazing and with the amount of action that this film has you will never get bored of the 3d coming at you. Out of the Resident Evil movies this is probably the best (Better than 2 & 3 anyway). Buy this dvd and you wont regret it.
When I bought this I wasn't sure if it was going to be a good buy. I had read a few bad cinematic reviews, and thought it may turn out to be rubbish. But thankfully they were wrong. The storyline is quite good, the visual effects are very good, the acting is just average. It also sets itself up for a sequel. The 3d is excellent and you can see how a lot of thought has gone into every shot to get the best 3d possible. If you have bought a 3d tv and want a good film to show off the 3d, this is a good one.
