Liam Neeson once again proves that he could have had a long and distinguished career as an action hero, if only he hadn't left it just a bit too late. Taken 2 offers a bit of variation on the formula that worked so well in the original Taken, and most of what worked well in that first film works just as well here. Unfortunately, this sequel doesn't really expand much on the formula of the first film (locations are different, the kidnap victim is different and there are one or two twists), but, if you want a well-made action film, you can't really go wrong with Taken 2.
