'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, on an epic quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain and the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.
Having survived the beginning of their unexpected journey, the Company continues East, encountering along the way the skin-changer Beorn and a swarm of giant Spiders in the treacherous forest of Mirkwood. After escaping capture by the dangerous Wood-elves, the Dwarves journey to Lake-town, and finally to the Lonely Mountain itself, where they must face the greatest danger of all - a creature more terrifying than any other; one which will test not only the depth of their courage but the limits of their friendship and the wisdom of the journey itself - the Dragon Smaug.

This was a beautiful case which I loved way more than the US version. Since it was region 0 it played fine on my blu-ray player. One thin I did not consider though was that the Ultraviolet code was region specific. This caused me to utilize the VUDU disc to digital service to unlock the movie digitally. Overall this was a great buy.
A great addition to the Hobbit trilogy. The story picks up where part one ended. Set in Middle-Earth 60 years before events in 'The Lord of the Rings', the story follows the adventures of Hobbit Bilbo Baggins, who, at the instigation of the wizard Gandalf finds himself joining a company of 13 Dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield to help reclaim the lost kingdom of the Lonely Mountain from the clutches of Smaug the dragon (voiced by the excellent Benedict Cumberbatch). In this film, while Gandalf heads south on his own, Bilbo, Thorin and the Dwarves enter the treacherous Mirkwood Forest on their way to the mountain. When they reach Lake-town Bilbo will have to perform the role he was assigned at the start of the quest - to find a secret door that will lead him to the lair of the dragon... A brilliant film with stunnung visuals and at Zavvi's great pricing it can't be matched!!!
What a wicked cover, outside its great and inside aswell, you will be pleasently surprised plus great movie and a must in 3D.
I haven't Gone through the movie properly yet,but the steelbook design and presentation is one of the best, and the pricing and shipping was fair,i haven't quite made up my mind about the movie as yet because i haven;t gone through it properly yet,so i can't make any real judgements yet,we will soon see how big the movie becomes.
