Those of a certain age grew up with the cult movies that make up the The Lost Boys Trilogy and which launched many an actor's career. Even better is the near perfect soundtrack and title track 'Cry Little Sister'. The frog brothers and quick one-liners provide comic relief, but the action is frenetic and still able to thrill today's audience. The second movie is forgettable and only notable for the gore before returning to better writing in the third. Watch out for the bittersweet scene of Corey Feldman at Sam's grave. This release may only be improved by picture-in-picture commentary and a bonus soundtrack, though there is still plenty to enjoy in the set.
The Lost Boys Trilogy are classic films. The Lost Boys has a great cast, awesome soundtrack and looks awesome on Blu-ray. Number two was a little disappointing but had three of the original cast reappearing even if two are ever so brief. The third film is far better than the second, with a better script and decent plot. This box set is well worth the price and a must have for movie collectors.
The Lost Boys Trilogy looks great remastered on Blu-ray and is a must buy, regardless of the other two movies. What I would recommend is a group of friends, a pile of drinks and then watch all three, and as you get drunker, they will get better. I can guarantee that! It's great fun, and worth it just for the first movie.
