The NYPD is not a job for the feint-hearted. It’s a job for tough guys like Detective Highsmith (Samuel L. Jackson) and Detective Danson (Dwayne Johnson). They steal the show with their confidence, their style and they always get their man.
On the other hand, the NYPD does have some guys not so like them; ‘The Other Guys’ are not like them whatsoever. Detectives Gamble (Will Ferrell) and Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg) have a desk job at the office, they never rise to opportunity, and they are reluctant to do better in their jobs, that is, until they answer a call and are forced to step up their game in order to compete with Highsmith and Danson. They’ll need to work together to solve the case without destroying the city and shaming the Police Department.

This film is brilliant. Will Ferrell is as funny as ever and Mark Wahlberg was clearly made for comedy, even the smallest roles in this film are hilarious. Definitely a must watch.
This movie is full of funny moments and action packed scenes.The acting and directing is awesome,music and everything fits together nicely.Buy this to have a nice and laugh filled evening at your TV.
was really looking forward to seeing this when released at cinema, but found it a bit of a let down and most of the best bits shown in the advert? I'm a big fan of Will Farrell's films and had big expectations about the other guys but found most of it slow and not really as funny as his previous projects! one to rent first!
