L.A. Guns - Shrinking Violet CD

Legendary veterans of the Sunset Strip glam metal scene, LA Guns' place in rock history is forever overshadowed by being one of the two bands--Hollywood Rose was the other--that merged to spawn Guns N' Roses. Founding member Tracii Guns left an early incarnation of G N' R to reform LA Guns in 1985. Though the band never touched its more famous off-shoot in terms of commercial success, the gloriously hard-rockin' sleaze merchants scored several hits through the years, including the 1989 hair metal classic "The Ballad of Jayne". A truly Byzantine series of break-ups and re-formations took place throughout the '90s and 2000s, resulting in two different line-ups of LA Guns touring as of 2007 to a large and loyal fanbase.
