I would give this album five stars if it weren't for the fact I thought that "the powers that be" were desperately trying to earn every last penny out of Oasis. As aforementioned, we already have one previous "best of" in the form of the 2006 album 'Stop The Clocks' and another only one album down the line does seem to suggest a scraping at the bottom of the barrel. However, this album does remind us that (whilst Oasis's heyday was undoubtedly in the mid 90's) they produced many good songs after this period which are often overlooked. 'Go Let It Out', 'Songbird', 'Hindu Times', 'Stop Crying You're Heart Out', 'Lyla' and 'Falling Down' to name a few. It is also nice to see 'Whatever' included as it has never been on an album before. This album only, however, provides good value for money if you are just getting into Oasis and only have a couple of songs. For most Oasis fans, who have the majority of these singles, the deluxe edition which has their most recent Roundhouse gig and all the videos would represent more value for money.

Time Flies - so does the cash!

No complaint about the songs (we all know how good Oasis were in their heyday) but do we really need another Oasis compilation. We've already had "The Masterplan" and "Stop the Clocks" with even Noel telling us not to buy the former - most of us already have these singles. Great tunes but unnecessary. Let Oasis go and see what the Gallaghers can come up with next.
