"I Dreamed A Dream" is the debut album by Britian's Got Talent runner up, the unexpectedly vocally talented singer Susan Boyle, who became a national sensation overnight. The album includes her chart topping single, a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses", as well as her well known renditions of "I Dreamed A Dream" and "Cry Me A River", and also her versions of Madonna's "You'll See" and The Monkees' "Daydream Believer". The album also features "Who I Was Born To Be", an original song written specifically for her.

supprisingly good
I don’t know about you but I was all subo'd out by the time the album was released. I bought it as a gift for my mum at Christmas and decided to give it ago as curiosity got the better of me. I really didn’t want to like it if I'm honest, but as it played I amazed myself. Not only did I find myself listening to track after track, but really enjoying them. It's one of those cd's you can put on and let play quietly in the back ground if need be or one that you can turn up and let consume you. The song choice is clever and I, not surprised it's a record breaker. Congratulations to her, she has produced an album that you will enjoy and appreciate.

Suprisingly a pleasant listen!
We have finally played this album in the office, and to my surprise it really is a pleasant listen! It is in no way my cup of tea when it comes to music, but to give her credit where it is due she does have a lovely (over produced?) voice! Some of the song choices really suit her - was surprised that a Madonna cover made it on there!

Amazing Album
Probably THE best album I have EVER heard. Susan's rendition of 'Wild Horses'is amazing! 'I Dreamed A Dream' was brilliant on 'BGT' - but to hear Susan sing this song with a full orchestral backing is out of this world. Her transformation of 'Daydream Believer' has to be heard to be fully appreciated. Susan's renditions of 'How Great Thou Art', 'Amazing Grace' & Silent Night' had goose pimples tingling my spine -& I'm not a fan of religious or gospelmusic -but Susan's angelic voice transcends this!

You can't help but like it...
The first time I saw Susan Boyle on Britain's Got Talent, I thought she was going to bomb, she obviously didn't and went on to the final but apart from the hype around her audition, I didn't really take much notice. I was surprised when I saw the tracks on the album and to be honest was a little sceptical but I must admit they do work. Wild Horses is a good cover of a popular song and obviously I Dreamed a Dream is as good as it was on her first audition. If you are a fan of rock music then obviously you won't like it, but if you like good songs sung by an incredible voice then this is worth a purchase.

Talented
Susan Boyle's rise to fame has been a turbulant one. This aside, there's no denying this lady is talented and deserves to do well. If her single Wild Horses is anything to go by, we can expect this album to do her proud. Definately worth a listen :)

Change of heart!
I must admit that when i first saw her on BGT i didn't expect her to be such a success! However after listening to a few of her songs i'm really looking forward to listening to the whole album and can honestly say, as much as i hate to admit it, Susan you're a legend and i love you!
