    Description

'Butterfly House' is the fifth studio album by indie rock band, The Coral. Produced by the world-famous John Leckie (The Stone Roses, The Verve, Radiohead), the album took just over two years to write and perfect, and marks a milestone in the band's evolution after the departure of guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones.

    The Coral

As on previous releases ('The Coral', 'Magic and Medicine', 'The Invisible Invasion', 'Roots and Echoes') the group's sound blended '60s stoner rock with melodious, feel-good tones. This release sees The Corals progression towards a pop-savvy vibe and a more mainstream angle. Don't let this put you off though, laden with more catchy riffs and infectious hooks than you can shake a stick at, 'Butterfly House' is a contemporary classic.

This limited edition deluxe box set includes the original CD album, a bonus CD (contains five additional tracks), an LP version, a DVD containing music videos and behind-the-scenes footage, plus two posters and four badges. Fans of The Zutons, Supergrass, and The Charlatans will love this! -J.M.

Butterfly House (Super Deluxe Box Set)

The fifth studio album by the Coral is a more mellow affair than previous Coral albums but this is not a negative point as the Coral with the help of John Leckie have produced a beautiful album which has quality songs throughout. Their trademark blend of Indie and 60's sound is reminiscent of era defining albums by the Zombies. This was easy one of the best albums of 2010 and the packaging of the Super Deluxe Box Set is also a work of art.

    Indie became folks

The Coral's Butterfly House album is an absolute masterpiece. I honestly think it's the best thing I've heard since the first Stone Roses album.

    1000 years

A superb album in special packaging. Each of the discs takes you to a seperate little world, usually reminiscent of the 1960's. My favourite track has to be 1000 years. Give the Coral a go, you won't regret it. Rich surprises can be found in this box.

    Butterfly Housed boxset

The Coral has always sounded like a band from the past with their psychedelic and melodic texture, and this album is no great departure from their previous five albums. Newly produced by John Leckie, the album is almost effortless in conveying a sense of movement and flowing texture in their highly layered sound, without sounding too congested. Overall I would say the album is a grower, nothing really stands out to begin with and the songs take their time to seep into your consciousness, which is often a good thing.
