By far the most exciting folk rock act to come out of England for some time, The Dunwells (Joe and Dave Dunwell, Jonny Lamb, David Hanson and Rob Clayton) have made an astonishing impact in Europe and are in the process of doing the same in the States. Well written songs, together with sensational performances, have been the backbone to their success and their incorporation of blues rock into folk has brought a different element to a rejuvenated genre.

Recorded at Willie Nelson’s famed Pedernales Studio in Austin, Texas, and produced by John Porter (The Smiths, Elvis Costello, B.B. King), 'Blind Sighted Faith' showcases the group's organic blend of acoustic and electric roots music, and their use of breath-taking five-part harmonies ('Only Me' and 'Follow the Road' are great examples). The album opener, 'I Could Be a King', is a sprightly, uplifting number and sets the scene for the title song 'Blind Sighted Faith'; written when the band members were penniless and only had their “music and faith”.
The Dunwell Brothers Band find a middle ground between the guitar picking of Mumford & Sons, the writing style of Kings of Leon, and all the passion of Noah and the Whale. (John Minard)

Blind Sighted Faith
I bought the Dunwells' Blind Sighted Faith album, on the strength of seeing a couple of songs on YouTube. Let me just say, I don't regret it one bit. The songs are well-written, and performed with the artistry of well seasoned professionals, and at the same time, they're very catchy. "I could be a king" is up there with anything in the charts - it has a feel-good factor and is a must for summery days. The title track, "BSF", is a mixture of harmonies, full of emotion and is a real ear-worm. There's definitely influences in the album from quality musicians/artists of note, but it's not easy to identify any particular genre. On first play, it almost seems as if you've heard these guys before. Buy it and try it. I recommend it.

Blind Sighted Faith
I've waited for Blind Sighted Faith by The Dunwells for such a long time, and it has been so worth it. Their brilliant harmonies and absolutely wonderful song writing are still there, and they're all playing their insruments so well. They have changed my life, they are all such lovely people. I have been fortunate to see them play live, quite a few times. I hope they will get the acclaim they deserve world wide. They deserve it, I hope their next abum is not far away. Buy this, or you will be missing out on the start of something big and you will regret it. I am 57 so I've experienced some iconic bands in my youth, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, ACDC... The Dunwells have individually got exceptional taste, you can hear elements of these other bands but they are their own men. Original and brilliant.

Dunwells Debut
This is the first album review I have given and I do so purely because the quality of Blind Sighted Faith demands it. In short, there is not a bad track on the allbum, it has been expertly produced and is almost as good as seeing the Dunwells perform live. The band are infectious and are set for stardom. Buy it.

Dunwells Blind Sighted Faith
The Dunwells are going to be a force to be reckoned with and I'm sure will be a huge hit in America. Not folk, not rock just a great sounding band with harmonies and passion. The CD is a pleasure to listen to with each track being a song in its own right. No bogie tracks thrown in. Every one is a winner on this superb album. Let's make them a name to know here in the UK too, sure they will be. Well done the lads from Leeds... you should be very proud of this, your debut album. Well recommended.

Blind Sighted Faith
Many reviewers have tried to pigeon hole The Dunwells music, as always seems to be the industries want. The best compliment I can pay The Dunwells is that their sound is entirely their own, utilising an eclectic blend from many musical genres. This makes their sound original and fresh with well-crafted songs to enjoy. One not to be missed !

Great album even better live
I'm not a writer so I'm bit rubbish with words however it's a great album and you should check it out. Sounds like Mumford & Sons but better and more bluesy/jazzy sounds on the CD.

Blind Sighted Faith
Blind Sighted Faith is a brilliant album from 5 excellent musicians, known as "The Dunwells". Judging by this album, these guys are bound to turn out to be one of the biggest UK bands this year, following in the footsteps of Mumford and Sons. I've been following The Dunwells for about 2 years, and I can safely say, in a non-biased way, this album will blow you away, and if you enjoy it, try and go to see them live, for an even better experience of their fantastic music.
