Burke and Hare
When I first put this film on I thought this is going to be really good. There was a lot of slapstick style of humor to begin with. Unfortunatly as the film continued there was less comedy involved I felt it lost it's way a bit with the comedy. Overall I would say it's a good film but it had so much more potential.

Burke and Hare
Burke and Hare are struggling to make ends meet when they come across a novel way to solve their cash flow problems. The medical schools in Edinburgh are willing to pay handsomely for corpses. The fresher the better! Once the pair have made this gruesome discovery they make sure that they have a steady supply of people who have had terrible 'accidents'. Grave robbing and murder may not seem the conventional basis for a comedy but Simon Pegg ensures plenty of laughs throughout. This dark and grisly comedy is a must see.

Twilight Edinburgh
Just back from the cinema, and I actually really enjoyed this film. Its an Ealing comedy so I had raised expectations that it actually exceeded. The sets are great, the characters are engaging and not without subtlety. Loved the random cameos and the believeable girls around town who work on the production of Macbeth, no less than the lead actors who are both on form. Not seen the original of course, but as a stand alone film, really good entertainment!
