Description

Christmas 1919. Downton Abbey is hosting a lavish Christmas party, yet despite being the season of goodwill, tensions are rife and Bates’s arrest has cast a shadow over the festivities. Will he be a condemned man or will he be found innocent in time to dance with his new wife at the annual servants’ ball? Christmas doesn't get better than this...

Having anticipated the Christmas special edition after avidily being glued to season 1 and 2, I was not disappointed. A brilliant follow up to finish off the seasons and leave us eagerly awaiting season 3 later in the year. With a wedding on the way, a baby on the way and the possibility of life imprisonment, could Downton Abbey leave us wanting anymore?

I am a great fan of Downton Abbey and recorded the christmas special, but as with all great shows on ITV they fill them with adverts. This is why I always buy the dvd. I'm not going to go on about the DVD except to say that it's great.

Christmas at Downton Abbey

My husband and I have both enjoyed Downton Abbey, and this Christmas special was definitely worth every penny. We are now waiting for the next series. Don't be put off by thinking this is just another costume drama, it's not.
