If you never watched Scrubs on the tv, consider yourself lucky. Cause now you have 9 whole seasons to go trough. There is not a boring character on this show, and it is rare to catch a dull moment here. The show is clever, fast-paced and doesn´t underestimate the viewer. Heartily recommended. Season 5 seems to lag in the "off the wall" department from time to time, but even the dullest Scrubs episode is most likely crazier than most tv shows out there.
