This wrong turn may be the last turn he ever takes!
After crashing into the car of a group of young friends lead by Jessie (Eliza Dushku, Buffy The Vampire Slayer), an indescribable nightmare begins. Stranded on an isolated road deep in the woods there seems to be no hope of rescue.
When the friends encounter a group of monstrous mountain men with murder and mayhem on their minds, they must escape from a fate worse than death.
As the grisly tension gathers in manic pace and shifts into high homicidal gear, only the strongest will survive...

Chris Finn is already late for an interview when he joins the back of a queue of traffic caused by a road accident. It doesn't take him long to decide to chance a 'short cut' by turning round and driving down a lane he passed a little while back. First mistake. Then matters go from bad to worse when he crashes into a car carrying a group of teenagers. Yes, it's one of 'those' days. They are all remarkably civilised about this and, with their vehicles out of action, decide to continue their journey on foot. Unfortunately the area is home to a group of 'monstrous mountain men' who tend to eat people like them for breakfast. Literally. So begins another 'stalk and slash' story, which have become ten a penny in recent years. This one is a cut above many, however, and spawned several sequels. The inbred/mutated 'monstrous mountain men' benefit from the skills of the famous Stan Winston Studio and all involved put in a decent effort. The DVD comes with optional audio commentary and a bunch of extras including a 'Making Of' featurette.
