Let The Past Die

Under the wing of Walt Disney Studios, George Lucas’s Star Wars franchise returned fans to a world of Force powers and galactic unrest. The new trilogy takes place many years after the events of the original films, depicting the rise of a new enemy following the deposition of Darth Sidious (Ian McDiarmid) and the subsequent destruction of the Empire in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return Of The Jedi.

Released in 2015, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens follows Rey (Daisy Ridley), a lone scavenger who lives on the desolate planet of Jakku. After encountering a droid called BB-8 and an ex-stromtrooper nicknamed Finn (John Boyega), who has recently abandoned the First Order, she attempts to return the location of the lost Jedi Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) to the Resistance. Along the way, she finds herself face to face with the powerful Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

The second instalment in the sequels, Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, focuses on Rey’s training with Luke Skywalker and the Resistance — including Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), Leia Organa (Carries Fisher), and Finn — attempting to escape the First Order after their attack on Starkiller Base.

Finally, Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise Of Skywalker concludes the sequels with the return of the Emperor. Seeking to prevent him from taking over the galaxy, the Resistance set out to find a Sith artifact that can lead them to Exegol, the hiding place of Palpatine.
