The new Xbox 360 is smaller and quieter than the original 360, with an excellent 250GB of memory. I love the fact the power button only needs the slightest touch. The fact it's matte black means I don't have to worry about fingerprints etc. showing on it. I would of given it 5 stars, but the only thing that bothers me is the button to sync it to the controllers. I think it's too close to the power button, which is so sensitive, it switches the machine off sometimes. Other than that, it's brilliant!

I bought the Xbox 360 as a gift for my son's birthday, and he was delighted when he opened the box. The new slimline version of the console is a great improvement upon the previous version which my son had, with 250GB of space to save games, music etc and with wi-fi built-in, it even allows you to stream music/videos straight from your home network to your TV. Good product, great games, peace and quiet from the kids over the summer!

Having replaced my 60GB Xbox Pro with the new Xbox 360 S, it's amazing how quiet the Xbox S is. It's almost silent, until it reads a disc, and is a huge improvement. Furthermore, the buttons to turn it on or off, and to open the disc tray, are easier to use. It's definitely recommended if you're looking to upgrade or replace your Xbox. It's also an excellent price at Zavvi.

Buying this Xbox 360 was a fantastic purchase. I had the original Xbox 360 premium, and after deciding to upgrade to one with HDMI, I am very pleased. The new one is smaller by at least 30%, with virtually no noise on start-up, or when playing a disc. No problems with wireless connection speeds whilst watching a streaming movie or whilst playing COD: Modern Warfare multiplayer either. The new-style headset is fantastic, and the controller is pretty much the same, but in black. This is an excellent console and with the new dashboard and apps available, you now have access to a variety of content. Also parental settings for those who are buying for children. I've had an xbox 360 for over 6 years now and cannot complain. Highly recommended.

As an experienced gamer, I've used a PC, PSP Nintendo WII, Playstation One, Playstation 2, and Playstation 2 Slim, so going to an Xbox was not an easy decision, however I can only say it is awesome. The graphics are crisp, and the controller is very responsive. Kinect is not perfect, but is still the best non-controller device I have used. The multimedia functionality is great too. As for now, I'm just waiting for a deal on Xbox Live. Overall though, it's a brilliant console. Definitely recommended.

Straight out of the box, the newer Xbox 360 does exactly what they promise. Ive had one of the original Xbox's for 5 years now, and I decided to buy a new one from my other one becoming old, and finding it hard to run sometimes. These newer Xbox's are certainly quieter, much quieter than I expected infact, which makes playing/watching games/videos much more enjoyable and comfortable. It's also smaller than the original by quite a margin, for comparisons sake, if you were to have the case of the original one with nothing in it, you can fit the new one into it with lots of spare space. The new design/colour scheme is also a welcome change, making the Xbox more modern and stylish. So overall, an excellent upgrade from the original Xbox, and a very logical buy for anyone who needs a new one, and it comes at a very good price via this retailer.

Can't really compare this to other Xbox 360 models, up to this point I've only owned Nintendo consoles and my PC. As a piece of Hardware, this model of the 360 is living up to my expectations. I only have two gripes with it; the power switch, which is touch sensitive rather than having a pressable button, and the USB ports on the front can be difficult to put things in (or at least I had trouble putting my wired controller in). Everything else wrong with it is down to the actual software, and therefore a problem on all Xbox models, but otherwise the wireless works fine (though it does seem to take it's time connecting at times) and it hasn't chewed up any games yet, so 5 stars for the hardware.

I was dissapointed...

I was quite dissapointed with the Xbox. I found my experience quite poor and I thought that there wasn't a lot of exploration. I think there was more to do on the menu then there was on the real games. I have considered selling my Xbox and now I know I'm going to stick by my PS3... May I add, I used kinect and I personally thought the kinect sensor was very inaccurate. When I attempted to play a kinect game the cursor went crazy and I was unable to play successfully... This may have something to do with my system being second-hand... Anyway, I don't mind...

This is my second Xbox 360 Console, and unlike the first, this console has improved in a number of areas. First, it has improved substantially on the amount of fan assisted noise on the old model. You don't have to turn up your AV Reciever to silence the din of your player. Second, since my last Xbox there has been updates on the dashboard that have also improved. Microsoft allows you to recover your old Gamertag, achievements and Gamerscore via Xbox.com. This came as a surprise since I thought it would be a wrestling match with one of those data transfer cables. To sum up, I am glad I purchased a second Xbox 360 console and even more pleased it came from a retail outlet as good as Zavvi.

I had worn my previous Xbox out although it served me well. I did a lot of price compairing for this item, therefore I wasn't quite sure what to expect as it came with the head set and remote. I had seen 4 GBs without any for quite a bit more. So when it arrived there was a real buzz as it looks so good but I was still cautious. After having my original 20GB Xbox 360 since 2006, it was time for an upgrade, and the 250GB slim console is an excellent, must-have upgrade, if you're in the same boat as me. It's as quiet as a whisper, even when the CD drive is running, and it has very good, reliable connectivity via HDMI cables, USB and the many other ports it accommodates. I definitely recommend it.

My son saved up to buy himself this console, and although he's extremely satisfied with his purchase, he does spend a lot of time using it, which I've spoken to many other parents about, and they say it can become quite excessive. I have been told there are parental settings on it though, which has really improved my outlook on this console, so we're currently using that to me and my wife's advantage. Call me horrible, but it seems necessary sometimes. I guess though, this proves it's such a great console. He seems to really enjoy playing on it. I don't think using it excessively would stop me recommending one.

I've got this Xbox 360 console and I've gotta say it's one of a kind! It's completely different to the older Bulky version (The very first edition). It's much quieter than the other version and not to mention the shape transformation. It's much more slimmer and it's minuscule in size compared to the previous version. Also, the hard drive has completely changed. It's also much more slimmer and very small in size. All these advantages add up to a wonderful Xbox console. There are also some dis advantages to the new console. The power buttons are touch sensitive and so is the disk eject button. You could accidentally press it with your feet or toes so easily. But as they are touch sensitive, it's also an advantage. Microsoft has really transformed the way the xbox works and how it makes you feel. If you wanted to buy a decent and good console, buy the Xbox 360 slim. It's worth it :) (Buy it from Zavvi) :D

Much quieter than the original and comes with a more comfortable headset for voice chat. However, it only comes with a Composite AV cable which looks rubbish. Really need an HDMI cable if you have an HDTV to get a decent picture. All in all its a decent price for a 250GB hard drive.

I am very impressed with the new Xbox. This is a perfect console for gamers an it worth every penny. The design is well done and very enjoyable. It also has touch sensitive buttons which makes it way cooler. It has 5 USB ports and Wi Fi through which you can connect very fast and easy. I strogngly recommend the one with 250 GB HDD and I am very happy I picked up this one. The cotroller sits very comfortable in your plam, sao you don't have to worry about either. The games are very exciting and I'm looking forward to testing as many as possible in my spare time.
