    Description

One of the most storied franchises in history soars to new heights.

The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword marks a new and innovative chapter in the never ending adventures of our hero Link, and with the introduction of the Wii MotionPlus technology, you can truly be our protagonist in your quest to save Zelda. This function allows every movement you make with the Wii Remote to be mirrored in the game, each slice and swing putting the sword, and your fate, in your hands. No pressure.

Explore the skies on the back of a noble Loftwing bird and trek the earth of the Lanayru Desert in this new world, with ground-breaking special effects and graphics transporting you head first in to this seemingly endless exploration of new territory. As you travel through this vast world you will encounter various characters who will try their very best to help you on your journey, such as your sword spirit Fi, who will consistently drop hints and provide helpful information. Keep an eye out throughout the game as you will be given multiple opportunities to upgrade your arsenal of new weapons, equipment and health to constantly improve your abilities and fighting skills. With plenty of new enemies to defeat, new puzzles to decipher, and new dungeons to battle through, this quest is as much challenging as it is fun, so keep your wits about you!

This edition of the game also lends a helping hand as you battle your way through each mission. With the introduction of Loftwing statues placed at various points throughout the game (including dungeons) acting as save points, you can battle to your heart's content knowing you can return to your last used statue should you be defeated. Follow your destiny as you fight to save Zelda, and provide the foundations that will lead to the beginning of Hyrule. (Cat Emerson)

    Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword

I did not believe until I played: they managed to overcome themselves and finally they have exploited the potential of the Wii motion plus. It’s just a game to live for all the hours you want, just to go hunting for butterflies and insects with the hunting net! Deserves the highest priority of any other adventure. The tears come down alone with emotion.

    The best game on Wii..

For me it's the best game available to the Wii. Don't miss it especially if you've played other Zelda games on the past. The story is very touching for the fans. The gameplay remains loyal to the series but it also tries to do something new. The game will keep you busy for more than 40 hours.

    Zelda is back!

Wow, I have played Zelda games since completing Link to the past years ago. This game has the same wonderful places to visit and puzzles that when you solve them give you a great feeling inside. I have the help book to increase my enjoyment but not to cheat. Some of the boss battles are huge - the full 42" widescreen on my tv! The motion plus is so intuitive you soon forget that you are not there in the game - the first time I have felt this in a game. Overall the game is superb... massive, tricky but not impossible, rewarding and fabulous to play.

A great addition to the Legend of Zelda franchise!

Legend of Zelda: The Skyward Sword is awesome. The motion controls add to the experience and the dungeon design may be the best yet. Some may even consider this as the best Legend of Zelda title, it's definitely better than Twilight Princess if you were wondering! This game looks really polished, and I can't think of any faults with the overall experience. I found myself playing it everyday because it is so engaging. There is something in there for everyone, there are also plenty of optional sidequests and bug collecting that reward you in various different ways. All I can say is, if you've ever liked any Legend of Zelda game or just like action adventure games, I'd certainly recommend it.

    Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

The game the Wii was made for. At last we have a Zelda with full motion control, move your Wii remote+ in a direction and watch Link's sword match your movements. Also works for bowling and throwing (bombs), flying (your bird and beetle), and aiming. Zelda: Skyward Sword is a great game with some awesome puzzles, massive bosses and great new items. It feels like a proper refresh for the series and is a must for all Wii owners.

    Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

I'd been waiting for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword to come out for years and it's been well worth the wait. The worlds are large enough to get a bit lost and there are exciting new items I've not seen before to collect. Gameplay is as good as always with the Zelda series and the sword movements are very responsive. I've still got a way to go yet but am enjoying it immensely so far. I would recommend this to anyone who likes this type of game.

Another excellent Zelda, which I did not regret buying. The gameplay with the Wii Motion Plus is comfortable, and the storyline is as usual very intriguing. I was pleasantly surprised with the graphics, which can be described as mix between cell-shading (Wind Waker) and the graphics you find in Twilight Princess. The style and colours remind me of oil pastel paintings which give a rather cosy and warm feeling. It's a must for all fans and for the first timers.
