    Description

Xenoblade Chronicles is the incredibly innovative role playing game made exclusively for the Wii console, brought to you by Monolith Soft. This game can give you over sixty hours of intriguing, science fiction and fantasy combined gameplay and an intricate and well developed storyline that will completely immerse the player. Step into the shoes of our protagonist, and bring an end to the terror that is sweeping through his homeland with an ancient weapon of untold power.

Eons ago, the two titans Bionis and Mechonis fought a legendary battle that culminated in the demise of each. Their bodies formed homes for two very different civilisations; peaceful humans on Bionis, and blood thirsty mechanical robot creatures (Mechons) on Mechonis, bringing forth a never ending conflict between man and machine. You will play as Shulk, an orphan who is the only one capable of saving the world, and who is now the wielder of the Monado. The Monado is an ancient sword said to be a gift from the titan Bionis itself which gives the wielder great power, such as visions of the future, and has the ability to slice through Mechon armour with ease. The Monado gave Shulk a premonition of an imminent Mechon invasion, and now you must win the war between humans and robots, and repel their invasions as you unravel the legend behind the Monado. Enjoy and explore this textured storyline with cinematic cut scenes and conversations, shedding light upon the life and history of the two titans' battle and everything that has come as consequence.

This vast, visually and graphically gorgeous universe is set as an open world, meaning that whatever can be seen in the distance of these landscapes is reachable. Xenoblade Chronicles aids you in this enormous world by providing the fast travel ability, meaning you can quickly reach a place you have already visited. Exploring this incredible world with your party is half the fun as the game is non-linear, meaning you can wander from the main storyline at any given time and find many side quests, monsters to kill, and caves to loot. There is also a vast amount of extras to discover and enjoy, including gem crafting, myriad collectibles, skill trees to grow through, and so much more.

This role playing game boasts impressive combat that is fast paced and action oriented, with a system that is engineered for both real time and command based battling. You can select your attacks through a command gauge, improving your strategies and possessing the ability to unleash special attacks called Arts that will decimate your opponent. An innovative addition to combat is the use of the Monado sword, which lets you see a devastating attack before it happens; this enables you to warn your team mates, put up a magical shield, move them out of harms way, or even incapacitate the enemy before it has the chance to perform said attack. These visions allow you to completely change the future and keep fighting, and achieve victory each and every time. Xenoblade Chronicles introduces both innovative combat, a compelling storyline, and so much more, guaranteeing enjoyment and an exhilarating experience from every angle. (Cat Emerson)

    Excellent Game

Xenoblade Is excellent with an ample amount of stuff to do, an engaging storyline interesting characters and expansive environments. The Characters English voices can be a bit Hammy at times but it does not hurt the game all that much. the subtitle can be at odds when using the Japanese Voices due to the English version having different character names.

    well worth it

This game is the answer to gamers who complain that they just don't make them the way they used to. Rather than wasting time with graphics, the developers have clearly prioritised gameplay experience. It has paid off too! Given that, these are the best graphics on the Wii.

    Xenoblade Chronicles

Xenoblade Chronicles is the best Japanese RPG of this generation. The fact that it looks like it's from the last generation is its only drawback, but its technical limitations are offset by imaginative artistic direction, innovative and compelling combat, and thoughtful design. It's a throwback to the glory days of the genre, proof that there are always new ways to tell a story. If you've ever felt neglected by the lack of in-depth gaming epics on the Wii, you owe it to yourself to buy this. Thoroughly enjoyable and beautiful.

    Welcome back good Jrpg

Xenoblade Chronicles really is a masterpiece. The story is very beautiful and well narrated, the gameplay is fresh and addictive, the open world is really fun to explore and full of secrets, the music's gorgeous, the graphics are well done for a Wii game with astonishing views and it has a very fast loading time (in a single very big zone, you can warp to one point to another in no time at all). The equipment is also great, and you can change your playable character in any moment (before a fight), with different moves and playstyle. It's surely one of the best jrpg of this generation, i think maybe the best.

    excellent Wii game

Xenoblade has a good story, an engaging battle system, and a wonderful art design. Vast, open spaces make for few load times. Plenty of side quests. Being for the Wii is the biggest knock against this title.

I'd recommend this game to anyone who owns a Wii and is a fan of the role playing genre. The game offers the player the chance to explore a vast world, an interesting battle system and a great soundtrack.

An absurdly open JRPG with gameplay akin to Final Fantasy XII. The game's story is excellent, English VO is surprisingly good, and the art is absolutely beautiful. This is arguably the best JRPG of the current console generation.

    Xenoblade Chronicles

There is a reason that Project Rainfall exists, this game is brilliant. It proves that modern day JRPGs don't require top of the range graphics to compete in this generation. It has a massive scope, a lot of quests that you can choose to do as well as an engaging battle system. This is a game for anyone who wants their Wii to not just gather dust and all JRPG fans around the globe.
