2070. Our world has changed. The sea’s rising level has harmed the coastal cities and climate change has made large stretches of land inhospitable.
The latest in the award-winning strategy series, Anno 2070 offers a new world full of challenges, where you will need to master resources, diplomacy and trade in the most comprehensive economic management system seen yet in the Anno series.
Build your society of the future, colonize islands and create sprawling megacities with multitudes of buildings, vehicles and resources to manage. Engineer new production chains such as Robot Factories, Oil Refineries and Diamond Mines and trade with a variety of goods and commodities.
A New Era
Staying true to the roots of the Anno series, the near-future setting will bring numerous new gameplay mechanics, architectural breakthroughs, and all new challenges. Additionally, players will be able to build massive cities, the scope of which has never been seen in prior Anno games.
Become an architect of the future
Face the current world challenges to positively shape the world of tomorrow. Choose either an industrial and efficient course by joining the Tycoons or a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly direction by siding with the Ecos.
An evolving, dynamic world.
Your decisions will have a direct impact on the environment, the climate, the architectural look of the world, and the needs of populations. Make your choices wisely.
Hidden depths and new resources
The depths of the sea are waiting to be explored, with new resources waiting to be discovered. Algae farms, tidal turbines and oil exploration are just a few of the exciting opportunities that discoveries will bring.
Multiple Game modes
Single player campaign: a story-driven single player mode with a deep variety of challenges.
Single player "continuous mode": the renowned endless game mode where the objective is to build the biggest civilization possible without time constraints.
Multiplayer and Online features: Anno 2070 will include innovative online modes offering players brand new possibilities to get in touch with gamers all around the world.

Anno 2070 is great! It's good time for having some fun for yourself. Enjoy playing multiplayer with somebody else and also battle against computer players. It's very nice and there are multiple ways to play. There are very big and beautiful maps to enjoy your time while playing.
Anno 2070 is a beautiful and complex game. This is a game that you can really sink your teeth into. You can play single or multi-player, and make it as easy or hard for yourself as you like. The sandbox element gives an almost unlimited replay value. You can expand through eco-friendly means, without aggressive tactics, or you can defeat opponents by force, using naval and airforce units. Setting up intricate trade routes between islands so that your whole society can flourish is a pleasure. Also, the invasive DRM that was widely complained about has been removed. Once you install the game, it is patched out with an update.
Besides the most boring campaign ever (a very long tutorial with dialogues), Anno 2070 follow the path of the previous episodes, with exactly the sames mechanics. If you want to manage multiple trades routes to satisfy the crazy needs of virtual people and create beautiful city, it's the perfect game. I regret that the interface cannot be change to monitoring more effectively some keys resources and that there is no real info on the consumption/production of a product in real time.
It is a greater change compared to the previous Anno games as it is settled in the future, but after the first few hours of getting used to all the new stuff it just feels like an Anno game. And it gets just as addictive! The only negative thing for me as of yet is the camera zoom, which is either too far out or too far in for me, but that's just a minor problem. I absolutely recommend Anno 2070 if you liked the other Anno games or like the genre in general.
I loved the old games in the series, they were great. Now comes this game, brilliant game but why on earth does Ubisoft insist on a constant connection to play the game offline. I have already activated and got the patches etc...but one slip in the wireless connection and you are gone. Not only that, I like to play without a net connection when I am on the road and since there is not one always available this game is useless. Wish I had not bothered with this game and will be playing the older one, this is the last Ubisoft game I will ever buy. They ruin it with their DRM and punish us.
I often prefer the open endedness of simulators which allow you to do pretty much anything for pretty much as long as you want - which you can do here in spades. What Anno 2070 has done better than most is to add a level of story-telling and relevance to where our planet is today which enjenders a sense of caring about the actions you take. Oh and it's great fun to play as well.
Anno 2070 is quite a hardware killer. You will need a GTX460/5800+ to play at medium settings. Despite this, the game is incredibly additive and fun.
It's really a great game! It could be considered one of the most complete simulation games. The player is instantly introduced to the building method and after a short time is able to manage every aspect of the settlement. In this kind of game the player is free to realize almost anything he can imagine. This title also presents great improvements in the multiplayer! Anno 2070 is probably the best managing game I've ever seen.
Bought this for my son and it's keeping him interested and entertained. I can't get much out of him except that it's "really good". Myself, I like the fact that it tells him to get up and stretch his legs every so often. He's happy with it so I am too.
This is a very good game, it can take a long time to finish even one mission, as its a base building strategy game, and they always take a long time. lol The graphics and just the look of the game are beautiful, its got a nice background music, that doesn't get to repetitive, and the controls are nice and fluid.
