    Description

Assassin’s Creed® II is the follow-up to the title that became the fastest-selling new IP in video game history.  The highly anticipated title features a new hero, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, a young Italian noble, and a new era, the Renaissance.
Assassin’s Creed II retains the core game play experience that made the first opus a resounding success and features new experiences that will surprise and challenge players. Assassin’s Creed II is an epic story of family, vengeance and conspiracy set in the pristine, yet brutal, backdrop of a Renaissance Italy. Ezio befriends Leonardo da Vinci, takes on Florence’s most powerful families and ventures throughout the canals of Venice where he learns to become a master assassin.

Ezio, a new Assasin for a new era
Ezio Auditore da Firenze is a young Italian noble who will learn the ways of the assassins after his family was betrayed and he looks to seek vengeance. He is a lady’s man, a free soul with panache yet has a very human side to his personality, through him, you become a master assassin.

    Renaissance Italy
Italy in the XVth century was less a country and more a collection of city-states where families with political and economic strength began to take leadership roles in cities like Florence and Venice. This journey through some of the most beautiful cities in the world takes place in a time in history where culture and art were born alongside some of the most auspicious stories of corruption, greed and murder.

    Dynamic Crowd

    An Amazing Game

At first look, this is an great game. At second look, it is an amazing game. Enhanced fight mechanics from Assassins's Creed makes the combat all the sweeter, as you dodge an attack and quickly slide your own blade into your attacker. IMMENSE amount of things to do, even after you finish the storyline, you can still go back to collect feathers, collect all the treasure... And theres the great new feature allowing you to change the colour of your robes, depending where you are, you could have a florentine red, or a deep emerald green, amongst many other choices. And as always, there is the free running around a VAST landscape, with new things to climb, hold on to and grab. The kind of game that will pull you in, and not let go for a good few days.

    Excellent game

This game is excellent. It has so many improvements. It's side-quests are quite good, the main storyline ownz, the weapon variety is super. It's very addciting to the end. There are much collectibles, so you can play with it after beating the story. If you have good internet connection, DRM won't be a problem.. i had 2 or 3 issues because my internet sucked for like 10 secs... but nothing special. (and it wasn't the DRM's problem it was mine:) ). So, this game is really worth your money imo.

    Up and down we go...

I bought AC2 a couple of weeks after launch, being afraid of the DRM that people kept saying "It`s the end of the world , RUUUUN!", And found out that the whole DRM thing is not that bad. It`s true, you need a permanent Internet Connection in order to play the game and it sometimes can be annoying in the servers are down for maintenance of whatever, but the bottom line is that you can live with it. The game itself is a pumped up version of AC1 with a much more broader variety of actions to be performed and varied missions that keep you wanting for more until the end of the game. If you haven`t played the first.... well, ... you won`t get to understand a large part of the story, but if you don`t care much about story-lines (you should!!!) you can still get a decent amount of fun from this game! I give it a 7.5/10 (or 4 out of 5) because of some minor bugs that sometimes made me fail some assassinations and the lack of Multiplayer.

A good game ruined by ubisoft.

From the start, the game sets off on the captivating journey of Desmond and later Ezio Auditore D'Firenze. The gameplay is definitely much better than the last Assassin's Creed but also contains the same amount of glitches and problems. What AC1 lacked in style and plot (due to its repeated gameplay) AC2 compensated with horrendous DRM protection with requirement of constant internet access. What if a devoted Ubisoft user doesn't have access to internet? That's a waste of money paid for the game. Overall, a good game ruined by means of pirating protection and the need for constant internet access.

Ubisoft have got a new form of DRM

Ubisoft have got a new form of DRM for all their PC games, which will require a constant internet connection to play their games. This includes Assassin's Creed 2... If you get disconnected while playing, you're booted out of the game. All your progress since the last checkpoint or savegame is lost, and your only options are to quit to Windows or wait until you're reconnected.

    Assasin's Creed is back!

I've just played a demo of this game and I have to say that it's just as good, if not better, than the first one. The graphics are immense, this will be one of the hottest games of the year. I love the fact that it is set in the Renaissance. Can't wait to see how they incorporate Leonardo da Vinci into the game!
