Sniper Elite V2

For the price, Sniper Elite V2 is a great game. Graphics are okay, plot is easy to follow, and the fun of seeing how your shot has killed someone, is always worth the money!

I can recommend buying this game if your into sniping. The graphics are well done, they follow the bullet right to the target and watch it pass through body organs. I've now played and completed all three levels of difficulty and really enjoyed it. I will be playing it again in a few days. Coming from playing all of the COD games I must say this is a completely different type of gameplay. The AI is far better than all the big games from the last 12 months, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 included.

Sniper Elite V2

Really love Sniper Elite V2. It's hard to stay interested in due to its simple theme - kill bad people before they kill you.

Sniper Elite V2

I have not played the first Sniper Elite game, but the gameplay trailers / developer interviews of Sniper Elite V2 plus the "Assassinate the Fuhrer Pre-Order DLC" convinced me of getting this game. But I've probably had too high expectations. The game is basically a very basic and linear third-person shooter. I would've expected there to be different routes to take and different approaches to fulfill your objectives, but it's all totally linear. The best you're gonna get is a side-street that leads you to the same area after 10meters. The graphics are solid and there are some very nice long distance city views. It does kinda give you the feeingl of pseudo-linearity since the graphics and art style do capture destroyed Berlin very well, but the gameplay destroys that feeling soon after. While the brutal kills shown in all detail by an X-Ray view are very fun to watch, it does get boring after some time because it's really just a shooting gallery with hardly any stealth approaches and often you're single-handidly up against a batallion of germans / russians with tanks even(which you destroy by shooting their fuel-tanks). So if you look at it as a very simple and linear third-person shooter experience with atmospheric settings/graphics and brutal kills, don't hesitate and buy it. But you really shouldn't expect any more than that. There are no sandbox levels, no real stealth, no real tactics involved.
