Anarchy Reigns is the eagerly awaited spiritual successor to the innovative monochrome Wii game Mad World, brought to you by Platinum. This game is the epitome of a brawler, and is an action packed third person multiplayer that practically explodes with energy. Get ready to smash 'em, slash 'em, and bash 'em all into pulp, because this is Anarchy Reigns; survival of the fittest.
Anarchy Reigns: Limited Edition DLC
Set in the post-apocalyptic future, you play as either Jack or Leo, two men who are searching for a missing man, a renegade traitor. On your way, you will explore the desolate and ruined city of Altambra, and attempt to bring order to the anarchy there. You will also meet, and most probably do battle with, a range of both human and cyborg characters in your fight to be the ultimate survivor. Each of these characters have their own special unique abilities and super powers, as well as their own style, weapon, and signature kill move. These include the specialised weapon Gator Tooth; a double edged chainsaw, as well as the signature kill move Snow Spikes, where icicles penetrate their victim.
This game offers a wide range of multiplayer modes, including Tag Team, Death Match, Survival Mode, and Battle Royale. These offer diversity in gameplay, with Survival Mode pitting you against waves and waves of enemies, and Battle Royale as a last one standing face off. Fight your way through with exaggerated and elaborate attacks, pulverising your opponents with over the top close quarters combat being your forté. Winning is not deduced by kills, but is instead based upon the points you accumulate throughout, meaning it's a combo-focused experience.
A system that has been introduced is the Action Trigger Events (ATE) system, which triggers real time events within the game that practically turn the gameplay environment upside down. These range from Black Holes which suck players in, plane crashes, raging tsunamis, blitz bombing, and even an outbreak of mutants that gradually grow in both numbers and power, forcing the players to fight as a team in order to survive. These ATEs mean that no two matches are ever going to be the same, guaranteeing endless unexpected fun and variety. This brutal action packed game is a chaotic free for all that has an edge of unpredictability, and is sure not to disappoint. Are you the ultimate survivor? (Cat Emerson)

As I said in the title review, i think that this game is much better in co-op mode instead than single player mode, same enemies and few characters, at least with this version you can use bayonetta

Anarchy Reigns is an action pumped hack and slash game with a a fun story and Also online multi-player mode to play. Anarchy Reigns is focusing more on the online aspect of the game though. Although you can enjoy the funny cut scenes and dialogues the story mode gets really repetitive real fast. You got 16 characters to choose from, the command are all the same for all the characters but the effect for each character are different as they got different styles with different weapons. Also you got special items in the stages that add variety to the game (like mines, rockets etc.) You can choose familiar multiplayer modes like "capture the flag" or "Death-match" and all that good stuff. All in all, its a fun brawling game and i especially recommend playing it online! Side note: For those who've played "Mad World(Wii)", you will definitely see some familiar faces.

Anarchy Reigns won't be remembered for the game of the year, but if you like smashing around with funny characters you'd give it a try. The price is very reasonable and the game is totally joinable. Graphics are a little under the average but the gameplay is really good.

If you are a 'beat them up' fan, Anarchy Reigns is for you. It's a bit stiff, and not very impressive graphically speaking, but it has good style and humour, and the character's design is quite stunning. The game play is just about rich and complex enough to have a good online fight in a lot of different game modes.

I can recommend Anarchy Reigns to everyone who likes classic beat'em ups and fighting games. You can chose from several characters and play single player or online. You can upgrade your fighter with new moves and abilities. There are some great boss battles in single player and stylish cut scenes with the patented Platinum Games humour. It's absolutely worth the price for any anime and fighting enthusiast...

Quite an interesting beat em up game. No real story, which is broken down into missions. Gameplay is where this game shines. From combos to flashy actions, the game feels quick and fluid. Story Boss fights are fun and require some thought rather than just mindlessly bashing buttons. While is it not a game that you can't stop playing, as there really is no end goal, the fun aspect is there and it's always enjoyable to get a couple of hours of kicking ass in a day.

The real meaning in Anarchy Reigns is the multi-player. If you love beat'em all and multi-player FPS, you'll find the perfect crossover here! Deathmatch, team deathmatch, cooperative and capture the flag all feature, but in closed combat. It's fun, it's fast and it's simply a real pleasure to think about a team strategy to win the battle. You'll love it!
