Assassin's Creed 3 Trailer - E3
The game has old character favourite Desmond behind the scenes in the present, using the new Animus 3.0 to explore this new chapter in his ancestry. This chapter is set between the years of 1753 and 1783 in Colonial America, amidst the American Revolution. You will play as Ratohnaké:ton, named otherwise as Connor; a man born of both direct Native American and English descent who has been raised with the Mohawk tribe. When your home is razed to the ground by invaders, vengeance fills you and boils in your blood, spurring you to join the fight. Bring forth justice, and the end to the war that has raged between Assassins and Templars for generations. You are the new hero, with the responsibility of liberty and freedom weighing greatly on your shoulders. Prepare for blood to be shed.
History is your playground once more, with new worlds open for you to explore and brought to life in visually stunning, breathtaking graphical detail. This is implemented greatly by the new Ubisoft Anvil Engine, which engineers seasonal changes: the sun will shine throughout summer, and snow will blanket the landscape during winter; these seasons will greatly affect gameplay in the means of combat and the areas you will be exploring. The main area you will find yourself traversing is the Frontier, the humongous span of wilderness and countryside that bridges the cities of Boston and New York. Alongside the Frontier, you will also be able to explore these commotive colonial towns with new and particularly fun ways, as free running has been improved. Connor possesses the ability to run and climb up trees and branches, as well as slingshot through and around them. You will also be able to find a wide variety of animals in this wilderness, including bears, wolves, rabbits, elk, and deer; you will be able to sell the pelts of these creatures should you be able to hunt and kill them skilfully enough. Should the sheer size of these areas daunt you then fear not, as Fast Travel has been re-introduced for your convenience.
In order to keep up with the incredible game that is Assassin's Creed 3, combat has also been completely revamped and revitalised. A new wide range of weapons to keep in touch with the time period and the character's own personal history are now at your disposal, varying from the signature Hidden Blade, flintlock pistols, bow and arrow, knife, and the deadly tomahawk. The ability to wield dual weapons has now been introduced, which goes hand in hand with other innovative new combat features including multiple take-downs, chain kills, and double counters. Your speed and agility will become great assets once more, and combat dynamics have been completely overhauled with an automated enemy selection system. Assassin's Creed 3 has completely outdone itself with sheer quality, with no stone left unturned without being polished to a gleam. Revolutionary gameplay fit for a Revolution. (Cat Emerson)

Assassin's Creed 3 is a good game with an open world. It's quite big to explore and has a lot of secondary missions. It includes some new things like the ships, and hunting. It's not the game of the year but it's quite an interesting game and a must have if you are an Assassins Creed fan.
Well I have been playing AC franchise for a while and every year Ubisoft manages to surprice me.... Their new engine for this game is amazing compared to Brotherhood or Revelations all animations in AC III are smooth and enjoyable for your eyes to look at. The story is also amazing, I will not spoil, therefore you need to see it for you selth. I'm not a fan of AC MP becae I mostly enjoy SP and explore every part of the sandbox which Ubisoft have created for us. This game is cheap now so there is no reason to wait with a purchase ;)!
Assassin's Creed 3 is a good game with lots of production in it, and is truly a great experience especially for those quite familiar with the American history. The bad thing is that this is the 5th game of the series and apart from the great Naval battles, there is not much innovation in it.
As a follower of every Assassin release up to now, Assassin's Creed 3 rolls out story version that in one way returns to what made Assassin's 2 excellent, and in some ways worse The story, as typical, begins with a flash back for people who haven't played any of the first series, then jumps back into the past. This time, the story spans a number of years and events that, in a way, are refreshing to see. The maps again are large and add to the story. However in some ways, because of the first flashback, followed by the second and third chapters, the story is slow to start, so for those looking for a quick pick up and play this may not be the story for you, and for fans of the series, it lacks a gripping story line. Changes like improving your homestead don't really add to the story, it kind of makes you wonder what the programmers were thinking. One thing worth mentioning is you will be using your broadband connection for your ps3 or Xbox. In a way it's a shame, as at the heart of it is a good title, it's just let down by some poor graphics and uninteresting character development.
Assassin's Creed has always been a hard series for me to explain in the way that I've always brought each one but never really been that engrossed in one. I thought for the first 30 minutes Assassin's Creed 3 would be the same but I can safely say it now plays how I would expect an Assassin's Creed game to play. The one part I always enjoyed - the fighting system - has once again been improved on and is even more satisfying than ever. There are plenty of mini-games to play and the story is solid. I wouldn't give it more than 4 stars but will say it's a sound purchase with plenty of playing time.
For lovers of the Assassin's Creed story, Assassin's Creed 3 is a must have game. You will be stuck to the TV for several hours just wondering what will happen this time to Desmond, or what secrets will he find. But it is not a perfect game - you will see lots of bugs regarding speeches. Anyway, it's an amazing game with a good price.
Assassin's Creed 3 hasn't changed a bit when it comes to the third part of it. The basics of the game are straight from Ezio's adventures so they're starting to feel kind of dull. The game offers nothing new for the experience. Even the multiplayer is the same thing as before. For the fans who care about the storyline it's a good choice but if you're looking the GOTY you'd better go looking somewhere else.
Okay, first of all: I've never played AC before, so Assassin's Creed 3 is the first AC I got in touch with. I saw the great deal on Zavvi and wanted to give it a try. The delivery was very fast. I was afraid, the lack of background knowledge will kill the game experience, but I was wrong. Ubisoft did a great job! The game is huge, really. You need to get through some sequences to notice this. The naval mission, well it's just awesome! I can't wait for AC4 now to get back on sea. The graphics are really good for multi platform title on PS3. The story is okay. They're sometimes great, sometimes just okay. The multiplayer is fun and huge too.
After hearing a lot of mediocre reviews and chatter about this game, my expectations were pretty low. But since I'd played all the other games, I wanted to play this one as well. I was quite pleasantly surprised! The characters are well made (the main character is the weakest though, but not terrible) and the story well written with several twists and they use good execution. It seldom gets repetative, which is quite a feat on its own, since all the previous games have had that as a major problem (except perhaps for AC2). I'd recommend this game to all AC fans, and others as well!
I guess it's time to face it: the Assassin's Creed series peaked somewhere around Brotherhood, and it's all downhill from there. Aside from the ship battles, which are really well-made and an entertaining distraction, everything here fells a little too similar. The other new elements - hunting, traversing the wilds - stay entertaining for maybe 10 minutes, and then you just sort of forget about them. Narrative feels a little disjointed, trying to do too much at once, and not really following its own threads. I'm going to play it to completion, because I've already got this far, but I'm certainly not going to bother with all the sidequests. I've done them all before, only dressed up as Italy or Istanbul.
This is a game that was heavily anticipated by me and many others. As I continued to play it the game started to get worse and worse; game crashed, bugs, glitches, unfinished animations: young Connor is killing bears , bobcats , wolfs with bare hands - the animation is the same as if he had a hidden blade! Then there is also: unfinished side missions, not so good story, bad ending... The only good thing is Naval missions and the beautiful landscapes with the changing seasons and weather.
