Asura's Wrath is the excitingly violent action game brought to you by Capcom. Using an innovative blend of both Asian mythology and science fiction, Asura's Wrath incorporates a thoroughly textured storyline, and combines it with hard hitting exaggerated action right from the get go. Fight your way through this jam packed action game and the sea of madness within it, as you prove that rage never dies.
You are Asura, a demigod and former General in the court of the divine Emperor. You return home from war to a summons from the Emperor himself, but when you arrive to meet him, you find him murdered. You are accused of treason and murder, and escape only to find that a fellow demigod, Deus, was the one who framed you, and has now murdered your wife and kidnapped your daughter. Now banished and stripped of all your powers, you must battle your way through the world and every demigod and enemy you encounter as you search for your beloved missing daughter. You are Asura the fallen, and the world must feel your wrath.
Asura's Wrath specialises in both ranged attacks as well as close quarters combat, within which both quick time events and action commands have been incorporated, keeping you fully engaged in the battle at all times. With every blow you land, your Burst Gauge will steadily fill, and when full you will be able to unleash the full extent of Asura's wrath in order to truly decimate your opponent. This will come in handy as more often than you would probably like, you will come face to face with bosses that are the size of planets. The fighting style you possess will also change throughout the game, allowing even more versatility and combat adaptations. Asura's Wrath combines deep storyline with fast and fluid violence, creating a game that will appeal to players on all levels. Remember, rage never dies. (Cat Emerson)

Asura's Wrath is a great game.
Asura's Wrath is like the anime version of Heavy Rain, with the difference being a cinematic beat-em-up instead of a cinematic adventure game, and the story isn't horrible. If you're a fan of Japanese animation, this game captures the atmosphere accurately. It's full of QTEs, but they're all timed well and mimic the input on your gamepad. You get to fight a Space Buddha that pokes you from space. That line alone is persuasion enough to make you look into this title.
Asura's Wrath is a very good game, but it's more of an interactive movie than an action game.
A good action game but it's more like viewing an Animé than playing one. Not much game-play but still a good game.
The game is not a magnificent one, but it's acceptable. The graphics are cute, but the gameplay is flat.
As a fan of manga and Japanese anime, you won't be disappointed. The structure of Asura's Wrath is similar to anime, it's divided into multiple episodes, including a preview of the next one. The story is pretty simple, but the action scenes are some some of the most spectacular you'll ever see. The gameplay is as simple as it is interesting, repetitive and boring. But you could find some fun in the boss battles. QTE are everywhere, but you fail, you won't be penalized, except in the score at the end of each chapter. The graphics are beautiful, and the character design is extremely well done. This is a weird game, spectacular, sometimes fun, sometimes boring. If you are a fan of Japanese culture, you will appreciate it. But for everyone else, it's hard to recommend.
Asura's Wrath is sublime if you love quick time events and action!
Asura's Wrath is very good.
Asura's Wrath is a great action game with lots of cinematic sequences.
Asura's Wrath is quite good and a fun game, if you want something fun for the kids to play. It has a cool storyline. Check it out.
For me it's a great game, but a few too many QTE. The graphics and story are great.
Asura's Wrath is a nice game with an awesome story!
Asura's Wrath is just like an anime, the story is deep with many climaxes that end in the power up of Asura. Just like an anime/manga, the protagonist will power up in time of crises! The number of quick time events grants this title space to tell the story during the battle, another similarity to an anime. In many games you usully have the story interrupted by some fights, like DMC4 where there's a video at the beginning and at the end of the boss battle and the story will restart only after the boss fight. Another great thing of the game is that it's a beat 'em up ! Perfect graphics, I mean just look at the body of Asura! Ever detail of his body is tidy! The environments are great too. Simple gameplay; if the game was too hard it would be too repetitive. Overall, this is a perfect game for an anime fan like me, where you can be involved within the story of a game. This game is worth every single penny, so it deserves some space in your collection.
Asura's Wrath is a brilliant game. Worth buying! Zavvi all the way!! :)
Asura's Wrath is very good.
As written in the title, this game is epic. This is more than a game, its like playing an anime, full of quick-time events. The graphic level is not so high, but is secondary in a game like this, where the important things are the game play and the story. For me, Asura's Wrath is the best game I played during the first half of 2012. Is this game worth buying? YES!
Great game! but just a game? Asura's wrath is also a manga animation! Wonderful story, musics, and graphics!
Asura's is one of the most amazing game I've play in year and with a great story behind it.
This game is great, I would rate it 8/10 Basicly it is an action game, but it collects different game type. The main part is a sort of beat em up in which you have to fight several enemies until you’ll fill a damage gauge, hence you’ll have a quick time event in order to defeat the stage or the boss. The fights won’t be too technical: you have a light attack, a strong attach, a quick shot, plus jump e flip command ( usefull to avoid attack ) but there’s no block ! You can create some simple combos but nothing to technical. In addiction when you fill a half of the damage gauge, you can activate ( for limited time ) an increasing of your power. The battle against the bosses are really beautifull, they may last for more stages and there will be some bosses really huge ! In addiction to beat em up stages, sometimes there will be some sort of shoot em up, really exciting, with the screen fool of items ( it reminded me of Treasure’s SIN and PUNISHEMNT ). The story is an important part of this game, it is a misture of fantasy and asiatics myths ( for instance one of the enemy you’ll fight with the most of the time is a sort of Buddha … ) and it is carried on, both by movies ( with the game engine ) and static pictures and text . Graphically the game is really good ( not the state of the art of PS3 ) but really good, especially for the character ( less for the landscapes ): polygonal models are complex, whit good textures in bright colours ( the design of the main character remind a bit Street Fighter’s ). As a fan of action game, I cannot say it has some defects, maybe it is a little short ( I completed it at normal level in less then 8 hours ) but in the other hand it encourages you to replay the game ( when I completed the game, it told me to complete at last 5 chapter with S rank to unlock a new chapter ! )
