I've been playing games for 15+ years, and I honestly can't think of one game that is quite as insane as Bayonetta. The character and level designs are gorgeous. The bosses are ridiculously huge, and there's lots of them. The combos and special moves are wicked and fun to pull off. And I actually liked that the soundtrack wasn't the typical heavy metal. The story is a little hard to follow, but you can seriously skip the cut scenes and still have an amazing experience. A couple of other things to consider: You can beat the game on easy mode in 8 or 9 hours (the difficulty is set in such a way that easy means normal and normal means you'll throw your controller a lot). Overall, I highly recommend this game. It's one of the most memorable I've played in a long time. The good stuff far outweighs the bad.

Bayootiful!!

What a fun game! What a challenge! A real treat for those that adore action games (and masochism!) as many have likened it to God of War and Devil May Cry. The comparison to these games is a little deceptive but I guess it is a good 'general' place to plonk it. Battle is incredibly visual and responsive. You'll be pulling off many, many different combos to defeat a plethora of angelic monstrosities. The weapons in this game all have their distinct uses - melee becomes the general bread-and-butter and the plethora of guns are to keep hostiles at bay and to break attack patterns. Bayonetta can also whip out certain 'torture attacks' to finish enemies if timed right - nasty! Topping this, as a master of dark arts, she can also call forth her hair to make some serious damage. This game certainly tests your mettle - you'll be using the entire dualshock vigorously to stand a chance of surviving. My only real complaint is my hand cramp! The game follows a campy b-movie feel and splatters it with some rather naughty banter and hilariously sexual choreography - its hard not to love it! Boss battles are very memorable and incredibly hideous! They do have a tendency of spiking the difficulty but when there's a will, there's a way! I'd definitely recommend this game to those curious. Anyone who enjoys a bit of punishment in their game and is looking for a solid challenge will relish the experience. The game is fluid, well controlled, polished and the fighting choreography is very visual and unique. There's fantastic humour in here, a lengthy (enough) story and enough trophies to keep you coming back to perfect everything (for those that need it!). A pleasure to play!

fenomenal!!

This is the best game that I have ever played. There are no loading issues anymore because of the patch. Bayonetta's gameplay is the strongest point of the game and the combo-possibilities are outstanding and the best there is right now. Great bossfights and great humor! For fans of God or War, Dantes Inferno and Devil May Cry it's a must have.

Bayonetta...

There are many who said that this game is similar to Devil May Cry 4, both gameplay and graphics. This is half true. It's not an exact copy, because it has more combos and stunning attacks than DMC, so if you like fast action games and you are a trophy hunter, at this price it's definitely a must buy :)

Sexy Female Dante

Prepare yourself for one of the best hack n' slash games EVER. For fan's of the God of War and Devil may Cry genre, this is a MUST HAVE, smooth gameplay, the number of combos would leave Kratus and Dante crying, the bosses fights are almost perfect. Past the mid point it gets a little repetitive, and a little frustrating, the game isn't easy. Why 4 out 5? Simple.. God of War is the best of this genre, but Bayonetta is a solid game with great ideas and the best combo system out there, simply BRILLIANT gameplay. 9.5 out of 10

Top Draw !

Loading time, loading time loading time ! Lets start with negative. This game has issues with loading times if you hadnt guessed. It is even more frustrating because this is such a good game your keen to get on and every second your not playing seems like an hour. Now that aside this game is fantastic and will take me quite a while to master, the number of special moves and the pace at which the game shifts along is second to non. I hear people talk about Devil may cry before it and GOW but for me this smashes them. The colours and graphics are top draw too.
