Devil May Cry HD Collection brings you the incredible first three games in the innovative and ground-breaking hack and slash action series Devil May Cry; one of Capcom's most successful and worldwide loved franchises to date. This Collection includes the original Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, all fully remastered and revitalised in superb HD quality, bringing the games to life once more. The Collection has been released in order to celebrate the 10 Year Anniversary of Devil May Cry, and allows you to get reacquainted with Dante, one of the most iconic video game characters of the past decade.

Devil May Cry was originally released in 2001 for the PlayStation 2, and despite being the first game in the series, depicts the events of the second chapter in the series storyline's chronological order. The game revolves around our protagonist Dante, who is on the hunt for the demon emperor Mundus, whom Dante believes is responsible for the death of his mother and brother. After meeting a mysterious woman called Trish, she brings you to Mundus' dauntingly immense castle, leaving you to fend for yourself against all of the monsters that await you. Along the way you will encounter various terrifying demons and bosses, each battle increasing in difficulty as you work your way up through Mundus' castle in order to exact your revenge, culminating in going head-to-head with Mundus himself.

Devil May Cry 2 was originally released in 2003 for the PlayStation 2, and is the sequel to the original game Devil May Cry, but is chronologically the fourth and final game in the series, documenting the last events of the storyline. The game focuses on the hero Dante and introduces a woman called Lucia, who with her mother Matier enlists Dante's help to fight against a businessman by the name of Arius, who is using demonic power in an attempt to conquer the world. In order to do this, Arius is planning on using a group of items called the Arcana to summon the demon Argosax, and in turn gets much more than he bargained for, including his demise and demonic resurrection, and the unintentional opening of a portal to the demon world.

Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening was originally released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, and is the prequel to the original game Devil May Cry, marking it as the first game in the series storyline's chronological order. The game centres on Dante's severely dysfunctional relationship with his identical twin brother and main antagonist Vergil, beginning with Vergil challenging him to reach him at the top of a tower infested with demons, devils, and various monsters. It becomes clear that Vergil wants to unite the two halves of the amulet that their mother gave them in order to reactivate this tower's ability to connect the human and demon worlds. It is up to Dante now, in order to defeat his evil twin brother, to awaken the dormant devil power within him and put a stop to Vergil before the world becomes consumed with demonic life.

Re-introduce yourselves once more with this worldwide critically acclaimed and successful video game franchise, which throws such an incredible amount of fast-paced action at you, that you'll find it hard to catch your breath. Prepare to perform slick and stylish combat, whilst experiencing intense and severely challenging gameplay that boasts one of the most original storylines to date, all in superb HD quality. Great but...

This trilogy has two of the greatest beat'em all (1 and 3, of course). But this HD collection was made quickly and the sounds in the cutscene doesn't fit with the action. And of course, developers told us they won't patch it...
