Great Rally Game

Fantastic rally game, brilliant for the more arcade gamer. If you're more into your serious racing games with full customization etc then this isn't for you. If you want to blast around awesome realistic tracks and terrains then this is for you.

Nearly awesome

This game has (almost) everything I was looking for: - realistic physics and control. - great graphics (I really mean great). - vast diversity of terrains, race types, cars, weather conditions, etc. The BIG minus is that the game does not support more than 180 degree steering wheel rotation on PS3 - regardless of what wheel you are using. Although this only matters when you screw up a turn and have to do a quick reverse, or when you are drifting, it is still a shame. Implementing such a simple feature as, say 360 or more degree rotation, would make this game (to me of course) the very best racer out there.

Pretty good

This game is an excellent racer. I feel like this is the perfect balance between fun and serious racing. You are not being treated like a child in this game, when you crash it's your fault (you can rewind it d'oh). And you've got no boosts or anything to get you back up. Racing against each other is a test of skill and not a test of luck. Like racing should be.

The racing addiction is back

After the first few minutes playing Dirt 3, I found myself completely inside the game and lost the notion of time. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay has to offer several different options and some of same are imperative to change. Driving with everything automatic turns the game to be a little boring.

Best Dirt so far

Definitely one to pick up if you've enjoyed the previous titles. After a strange transition from the earlier Colin McRae rally games to the current format, this edition is more comfortable combining straight up rally tracks (with a satisfying mixture of arcade and realistic handling, whose difficulty can be fine tuned to your specific liking) and the newer features such as the rally cross racing and gymkhana modes (worth checking out on YouTube if you are unfamiliar with this rally/drift hybrid discipline). While somewhat lacking in variety and presentation, it remains a highly enjoyable experience to get to grips with a decent rally game again that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Having not played any of the earlier Dirt Series and really not much in the way of Racing games since ColinMcRae or GT2 (PS2) I didnt have anything in the way of expectations. Blown away by the whole package. The great variation of tracks,vehicles and challenges should keep most motorsport fans interested especially those Die-Hard Rally fans. Some disciplines take a while to get onto their controls but thats part of the realism where every vehicle has its own characteristics. Brilliant game all-round and I`ve only completed some of the challenges so plenty more fun to come.

Excellent game

Dirt 3 is by far the best rally game I've played so far. Tracks are very well designed and so are cars. Damages appear to be very realistic (you can even end up with a flat tire) and they have direct influence onto your driving. A must have if you like rally.

Third Time Around

Codemasters didn't disappointed in this third instalment for the series. There are tons of rally stages, special events and cars. And they all have one thing in common. They all look amazing!!! The multiplayer is great, with time trials, capture the flag and races. There's already DLC available, so if you are a car enthusiast this is a good value for money, since you won't be bored with it for a long time.

Dirt 3 is the eighth rally game of Codemaster. Like its predecessor apart from rallying game provides other types of competitions. The game continues the teenage style of the Dirt2. Graphically, it is more evolution than revolution but still looks great. Each collision is accompanied by a fountain of car parts. The soundtrack is great and fits perfectly into the game. Engine sound is sensational. The game provides hours of fun in both singleplayer and multiplayer mode. I recommend it to any fan of racing games.

I'm not a fan of racing games, but Dirt 3 is an excellent game that everyone should experience. The graphics are great, the driving feels like it should, the multiplayer is very well done, there's a lot of variety and lot to do.
