Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is a single disc bundle that contains both Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2.
Final Fantasy X
'The world lies on the brink of destruction. Only a select few may be able to save it.'
In ages past, the world of Spira experienced a golden age of perfection, brought about by an advanced civilization through the use of wondrous machinery called machina.
However, around one thousand years before the present day, a colossal menace known only as "Sin" appeared and sundered all before it. Though a line of summoners have since brought Sin low many times, it inevitably returns in an unending cycle of destruction. In the face of this ever-pervasive threat, the people of Spira flocked to the teachings of Yevon, which tell that Sin is a punishment to those who relied overly on machina.
Tidus is a young Blitzball star that mysteriously finds himself in Spira after his home city of Zanarkand is destroyed by Sin one thousand years in the past. Believing Sin to be the key to returning home, Tidus joins a young summoner named Yuna on her pilgrimage to destroy Sin and bring about the Calm.
Final Fantasy X-2
'Last time she saved the world. This time it's personal.'
Two years have passed since Sin was destroyed. Since her victory and becoming a high summoner, Yuna has lived on her childhood home of Besaid Island. Then one day, Rikku comes to Besaid and shows Yuna a sphere. The recording is of him. Or is it?
Yuna can't tell whether it's him or just someone who looks like him. If it is him, Yuna might be able to see him one more time. No matter what the truth may be, the answers she finds may change things forever.

As the Final Fantasy games series goes, this is easily in the top 3. Originally released on Sony PlayStation 2, this new HD Remaster for the Sony PlayStation 3 is everything you could want or hope for in an RPG game. The games include many characters to control, literally thousands of enemies, missions, side missions, quests, competitions and lots more all set in a huge fantasy world. The box states 200+ hours gameplay but that really doesn't do the game justice. You could easily triple that time if you so desire, and I think anyone who loves Final Fantasy will do just that. Graphics are stunning, controls are very simple and easy to learn. Storyline is just immense. My personal opinion is that this is a must have PS3 game. Extremely low price too for the amount of gameplay and content. Highly recommend to RPG fans and Final Fantasy fans alike.
This is graphically very good after over a decade from both titles being released, albeit some minor changes to the music. Both reflect old school final fantasy battles, and at the price these are a bargain, and contain endless hours of fun! Well worth a second look by older fans and a great way for new fans to get a tastle of fantasic RPGs.
Despite having played both X and X-2 on the PS2, I am still loving playing these games on the PS3 and finding it impossible to tear myself away from it! Brilliant game and the FMV's look amazing in HD! Well done to Square Enix for this lovely remake, lets hope they carry on the trend with their older games!
The Legacy of the Final Fantasy name has been the best thing since sliced bread, I personally have an original copy of every final fantasy since it started back in I think 87/88 and each game has been the corner stone of every RPG/Platform game made ever since... Up until the release of Final Fantasy 10 the only game to have an overall personal and worldwide rated story to bare and argument to was funnily enough Final Fantasy 7 and they have some of the most prestigious awards for gaming, electronics and story writing capability including ground breaking graphic and set designs, thus the major argument of should they end the highest grossing name in video game history and end on a high with the traditional Square Soft way of RPGing or continue with the Enix influence which has in recent years been an evident flaw by their untalented urge to be the best by using their inferior skill and hiding it behind the Final Fantasy name? all I know is Final Fantasy X will always live as the overall best final fantasy to play for my generation and any platform loving RPG loyalist Roll on more Classic FF remakes especially a VII & VIII being the pinnacles of Square Soft
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is going to be one of the best games out. It was a great game on the ps3 so it can only get better on the ps3. Can't wait for this game to come out. Giving it 5 stars because of you get both of them on one disc and you will be able to get two set of trophies which it a great for trophy hunters.
Ive eagerly anticipated this HD remake of one of the best Final Fantasy games on the PS2, its great to see that we would be getting both FFX and FFX-2 in one package, I can only hope that Square-Enix includes both Japanese and English audio tracks, definitely going to buy this and Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix - Limited Edition PS3. I hope to see a HD remake of Final Fantasy XII (12) on the PS3 soon. Its a pity that a (unrated) option was not available, the game has yet to come out, as this game is a remake my rating is based on my experience on story, Gameplay, Music etc from the previous PS2 version.
