Description
Until February 23rd, 2011, Mass Effect 2 players on Playstation 3 can download the Terminus Armor and M-490 Blackstorm Projector Weapon free of charge from the PSN Store. After Feb 23rd, the Terminus Gear will be available as paid DLC.
Terminus Armor:
Like all modern combat hard-suits, the Terminus Assault Armor is environmentally sealed with an independent air supply for use in space and extreme planetary conditions, with an onboard "micro-frame" computer capable of running a suite of battle management software. To prevent detection by passive thermal sensors, body heat is channeled to the base of the feet, where it can be dispersed into the ground.

Blackstorm Projector Weapon:
The Blackstorm encases a few particles of matter within a high-powered mass-increasing field, elevating them to near-infinite mass and creating a powerful localized gravity well that draws nearby enemies and objects into itself. The rapidly-increasing gravity near the event horizon of the singularity rips the objects apart and then explosively hurls them away.

Save the world from home?
If you like sci-fi and star wars esque worlds and aliens, this game is for you. Travel space in your very own spaceship, make companions, enemies and lovers. Meet all types of aliens and robots. This really is a great third person cover shooter with brilliant graphics, storyline + gameplay! You can change the settings of the game so its easy (story based) and not too hard. I chose that as I'd rather not get frustrated on harder settings and the story/settings alone won me over. It's been a while since I've immersed myself in a game but I have so far put roughly 30 hours into this game and can say it was time well spent. If you're on the sidelines of should I try mass effect or not. Give it a shot. It's a great price for a great game you shouldn't miss out on!

Worth it
Despite encountering a few bugs it's still one of the more enjoyable games out there. And at 40+ hours it's certainly got bang for your buck. Not the best game ever made but better than the majority of the dross out there. More of a 3rd person shooter now than an RPG however that's not a bad thing.

Mass Effect 2
This was my second time purchasing Mass Effect 2, having completed it previously on my Xbox 360, before selling it, and my opinion of it hasn't change at all! It's an all-round brilliant game, especially if you like deep, story-driven games where your playing style actually makes a difference. All this comes with the nice addition of some good old, 3rd-person shooting thrown in. If you ever played the first Mass Effect game, you will love this one just as much, if not more. One bonus I discovered is that all Playstation 3 copies come with a code, that along with giving you access to a range of downloadable content, that provides with new armour, characters, and a vehicle not included in the basic version, it gives you the "genesis" interactive comic that fills you in on the story of the first Mass Effect game, and lets you make the pivotal choices you missed. It's a fantastic game, and I recommend it to anybody. It'd be a shame to miss out on such a to-end franchise.

Fantastic game! Already put in 10 hours and it feels like I'm still nowhere near the end! One of those games which chains you to your couch for 30H+, with all the loyalty quests, and a vast universe to explore. The story is superb, one of the main reasons you can't put the game down. And then I didn't even mention the action itself, or the graphics, design, soundtrack, voice acting all of which are top notch! I can only recommend this one.

Mass Effect 2 is an hybrid game which combines two genres, Third Person Shooter and RPG. A huge part of the game is dedicated to social interaction too, and it's up to the player to shape every single detail of your character in the way you find more appropriate. Among battles, space travels and diplomatic disputes of the various races there's also time for romance. The game itself is very balanced and never too frustrating. If the players fails, it's probably lack of ability not of a cheap enemy. Using correctly your team member, yours and their abilities is the key to succeed in every mission. Also, you have to deal with your squad members. It's not an easy task but eventually you can gain the trust of everyone... or not. But it's worth the effort when every person becomes loyal. As for the story, I don't want to spoil too much. I leave the pleasure to find what is this about to newcomers of the series. You're Commander Shepard and you have to save the galaxy (not to mention the Earth) for the SECOND time from an alien race who wants to destroy us all! Will you be able to do it?

Mass Effect 2 is one of the most great games ps3 ever had! It is SciFi Adventure with very good story, exciting from the first to the last minute. Bioware created a universe worthy of mension. It is no an exaggeration if we compare it even with the STAR WARS universe. The graphics are 5/5 and the whole atmosphere is a great experience. You dont want to be a gamer that has not played it on its time. Also, with the price that Zavvi is selling it, its a sin not to have this title on your collection.

Best Edition of Mass Effect 2
Mass Effect 2 is a beautiful role playing third person shooter game. You step in the shoes of Shepherd who was killed during saving his squad members from their burning ship, the Normandy. After two years, Shepherd is revived by a shady company called Cerberus. As you progress in the game, you explore the beautiful world of Mass Effect 2. Throughout the game you complete main and side quests, recruit party members and build your character stat and look wise. Mass Effect 2 gives you a free hand on how to progress with the story-line by letting you choose which quests you want to complete first. High polished and packed with additional content that is guaranteed to add at least another 6 hours to your already long epic quest of saving the universe. In addition, the PS3 edition comes with a comic that summarizes the story of Mass Effect 1. To conclude, Mass Effect 2 is an amazing game no gamer should miss, and if you're an RPG fan this game is defiantly a must-buy!

Excellent game!
What a great game this is! Over 40 hours of gameplay, a great storyline, combined very well with a lot of (shooting) action and superb graphics! Every character, every alien race and every planet you encounter has its own background, character and style. The game tried to increase the replayability value by allowing you to become either female of male and classes such as engineer, soldier and biotic. The reason I gave four stars is that I believe that every game can become better, even though it is great to begin with. If I have to name one thing which I think could be improved than its the control of your companions in a battle. Overall, I great game and (I think) a must buy!

BUY THIS GAME!
The first Mass Effect was amazing, Mass Effect 2 is even better. The storytelling is superb, the gameplay is top notch and there's so much to explore through the galaxy. I would recommend the PS3 version as it has sharper visuals than the Xbox 360 version and comes with all of the expansions on the disc. Also, if you never played the first one there's an interactive comic that allows you to make the decisions that affects the plot Mass Effect 2 in certain ways.
