The newest chapter of the iconic fight franchise marks a triumphant return to the series' mature presentation and a reinvention of its classic 2D fighting mechanic.
Driven by an all new graphics engine, the fan favourite Fatality is back and presented in more gory detail than ever before. In addition, Mortal Kombat introduces a number of new game-play features including tag team and the deepest story mode of any fighting game.
Players can choose from an extensive line up of the game's iconic warriors and challenge their friends in traditional 1 vs. 1 matches, or take on several new game modes, as well as the most extensive online experience ever seen in a fighting game. Up to four players can battle "tag-team"- two players can team up in the new "Co-op Arcade Mode" or compete against another team online.

The game won't disappoint you. It's bloody, it's fun and surprisingly quite long. Story mode is a nice surprise because of its length and you have tons of unlockables. I also want to mention the 3D effect because I had a lot of fun with it. Without spoiling too much but there are quite a few nice scenarios that use it and one fighter gives you a nice shock...
I realy like Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition. Gone are the horrible stances and weapon kombat - welcome back pure Mortal Kombat. The game has a lot of really nice game modes. The story mode and the challange mode are my favorites at the moment. The controls are nice and easy. If you liked Mortal Kombat 1-3, buy this one.
Mortal Kombat is the best fight game out there with the first time and interesting single player experience. It is easy to learn but difficult to master good game for both casual and hardcore fighting game fans. Komplete Edition gets you additional 4 dlc characters and is worth buying.
Mortal Kombat marks the revival of a classic. The new game from NetherRealm Studios is faithful to the original trilogy, the essence of the series and what fans could expect. We found a funny fighting game and direct, which has in its various game modes, online and offline, one of the pillars that underpin the explicit violence and blood in the series. Mortal Kombat is more brutal and forceful than ever, with spectacular fatalities, painful moments and an overall more interesting for having been able to adapt this universe somewhere between the gore and the series B to modern times. Content has been carefully from beginning to end, from being able to fight up to four players at once by using the Tag Team until we get the money to unlock new bonus material, through absurd mini games and more acertados.El main setback of the game is that the gameplay may seem limited compared to other more profound gender
I'm no expert of beat 'em up games, but I have to say that I'm having a lot of fun with Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition. The graphic is neat, coloured and brutal. An easy tutorial introduces you to all the kombat (with 'k') moves, from the basic ones to the advanced. You can either play a classic beat 'em up game (beating one adversary after another), or choose the story mode (the storyline is quite dumb, but the voice acting is great). A bunch of extras expands its longevity by many hours. This is not the most polished beat 'em up on the market, but it is surely one of the most fun and intriguing.
Gamers who already bought Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition when it came out in 2011 won't find enough in the "komplete" edition to justify purchasing it. However, any fighting-game fan that missed it last year shouldn't pass it by the second time around. With smooth graphics and gameplay, great controls, and excellent online multiplayer and spectacular single-player gameplay, Mortal Kombat has reclaimed its crown as the best fighting game.
Mortal Kombat is a really awesome game with many many game modes and a lot of fighters. The ultimate fun comes up when playing with / against friends but you can also play alone against bots. With the Krypt you have even more to do because you can redeem Koins in the Krypt for Moves, Pictures, Artworks, etc.
Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition is by far the best Mortal Kombat ever, if you liked MK, MKII and MKIV and lost the interest when MKIV appeared. This one is for you. The story mode is the most complete I've seen in any fighting game, with real-time rendered videos between each fight to explain the story of Mortal Kombat (some may say the story line is cheesy... well it is... but it's always been like that and I love it that way). Apart from the main story mode, you can still play ladder mode with each character to see alternate endings with each fighter. The complete edition comes with all the fatalities/babalities unlocked...it kind of ruins the objective of playing to unlock them, but you still have lots of artwork to unlock in the Krypt. There are lots of single player challenges to keep you busy for a while, to me it's simply the best fighting game for the PS3. I have SF4 but it's not my cup of tea... and is a little bit slow in my opinion and with much less content.
As a big fan of Mortal Kombat 2, I was excited to find Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition for my new PS3. I've played the regular version with my friend and was hooked from the first second. When I got this copy, I found out that I have a lot of extras, such as more fighters, costumes etc. I highly recommend this game to any fighting fan, because it delivers an experience I've never seen in other fighting games. Even after hours of playing sessions, I'm still coming for more.
