Description
The newest chapter of the iconic fight franchise marks a triumphant return to the series' mature presentation and a reinvention of its classic 2D fighting mechanic.
Driven by an all new graphics engine, the fan favourite Fatality is back and presented in more gory detail than ever before. In addition, Mortal Kombat introduces a number of new game-play features including tag team and the deepest story mode of any fighting game.
Players can choose from an extensive line up of the game's iconic warriors and challenge their friends in traditional 1 vs. 1 matches, or take on several new game modes, as well as the most extensive online experience ever seen in a fighting game. Up to four players can battle "tag-team"- two players can team up in the new "Co-op Arcade Mode" or compete against another team online.

Brutal as ever with awesome additional characters
Have already reviewed the original Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition is the same game only with 4/5additional characters and skins. The characters are a good input and much appreciated. MK is even more brutal with these additional characters.

Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition is a great game. The quest is nice but it's annoying that you must see the talking and can't run forward to the fights. The graphics are amazing and the fighting is great, the only disadvantage related to former games is that there are no weapons, and I miss that. It's a very nice game for multi or single player.

Amazing!
I bought Mortal Kombat and think it is the most complete fighting game in the market. Superb characters, easy to play with beautiful splatter graphics! The Story Mode is huge, with all the mythology of the Series! Also Tutorials, Ladder and VS modes (online & offline with friends) will keep you company for long time! Now the Komplete Edition is one step forward, with extra content that you must have if you are a fan of Mortal Kombat.

Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition is an excellent flashback, coupled with fresh new dazzling graphics and amazing appeal, sound, and gameplay. New additions such as "Test Your Luck" are terrific, and the online experience is one of the best. Surely one of my favourite games of all time.

Excellent
This game is excellent. It is far from the days when I played MK3 on my Sega Mega Drive, with better graphics and technology. The classic MK gameplay is here, and im very happy about that. I bought my PS3 system just to play this kind of game, the console excusives, and this is one of the best. The character selection is great, the history mode is a pleasure to play and watch and to remember the history from MK1 to MK3. Recommended 100%, one of the best fighting games on PS3.

Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition
Mortal Kombat took my friend and myself by storm. It has awesome graphics, a number of different characters to choose from, and they even have Kratos and Freddie Krueger in the game, which are two bad-ass characters! The game itself is so fun to play, and the executions are the best you can find, in any fighting game, and one thing I particularly liked, was the packaging this game comes in. I definitely recommend it.

One of the best fighting games ever - the 2D, art, controls, combos and new additions to the series is just amazing. The story mode is quite good (at least for a fighting game), great number of fighters to chose from, and from the Komplete edition you get every additional fighter released as a DLC. Super fun to play online or with some friends.

In the field of brutal fighting games, none have been so successful, or worn as thin, as the Mortal Kombat franchise. With the first three iterations placing the 2D fighter firmly in gaming history, one might argue that the constant remaking of the games core systems, weak new characters and the rather poor transition into 3d lowered the public perception of MK to nothing more than an annualised blood and gore fest. However, they have really found their way back to their roots in this game. With a complete retelling of the story, Nether Realms has created a new Mortal Kombat Universe that introduces new players to the fiction while still catering to old fans with a full roster of classic characters from the series. The combat has been finely tuned and well balanced between the fighters to such a degree that skill will always be the final decider in any match. Each hit is delivered with conviction, and you can see impact with gushes of blood as you bludgeon or carve up your opponent. The game is still as gruesome as ever, which is considered a return to form from the disappointing T-rated MK vs DCU. The four new characters included in this edition are great additions to the rosters, and gives room for an even grater variety of play styles. If you want some gory fighting action, you can't go wrong with Mortal Kombat. Highly recommended.
