Description
Rayman Origins is the wonderfully revitalised game that brings the classic Rayman legacy back to life, fifteen years since the first launch of the franchise. The game follows on the saga's traditional 2D side scrolling platform gameplay, yet has completely revamped the graphics, making the brilliantly unique world and characters vibrant and colourful. Explore once again the magical lands of Rayman's world in this innovative new game, with a little help from your friends.
The story begins with Rayman and his friends relaxing in their home the Glade Of Dreams, when they accidentally disturb a little old Granny from the Land of the Livid Dead. In retaliation, the Granny unleashes an evil army of Darktoons and various other evil creatures into the Glade, where they cause absolute mayhem and hold captive all the Electoons and Nymphs. The Fairy Council request the help of Rayman to help save the world and rescue the Electoons. Play as Rayman in solo campaign with his friends Globox and the two ingenious Teensie wizards, which allows up to four people in drop in drop out multiplayer playing his friends, as you go out to restore peace in the Glade Of Dreams.
The game has expanded on all of Rayman's quirky and various abilities to apply them to all the unique levels and environments you will experience. These abilities include running up walls, mid air gliding with the use of his Hairly Copter, shrinking himself, swimming, diving, and more. These become unlocked the more you progress through the game, each new world you conquer giving you an ability to learn, and definitely come in useful when you want to discover secret areas in levels. Certain levels unlock time trials, which means you have to repeat the level in a set time; when completed properly this allows you to free more Electoons, and you can even earn trophies for the fastest time. There are also incredibly fast-paced and fun treasure chest levels to unlock, where you have to speed chase a moving treasure chest through a dangerous course that will put your skills to the test. These treasure levels give you ruby teeth and, should you complete them all, grant you access to a whole other world: The Stars Of The Livid Dead Tour.
Some old fan favourite aspects appear in the game as well, such as riding the mosquito through certain levels, collecting Lums (which are Rayman's form of currency), and epic boss fights. New and exceptionally terrifying bosses appear in this game, for example a giant carnivorous plant! There are also over a hundred new characters to meet, 60 levels to complete, and a vast array of extra bonus material and content to unlock. Rayman Origins is a magnificent game, but it's not easy as it looks. You will need at least one week to finish it. The great graphics and animation make it for me, and the whole game is done in a humorous way. This game is even more interesting when playing with friends, but unfortunately you can't play online. In any case, the game is good, it should be in your collection, and it's definitely worth buying.

I played the Rayman Origins demo which prompted me to buy the game and itself as it was so much fun. Now I have the game and for me the graphics and sounds are beautiful, the game is very good but very annoying at times! You want to retry level sometimes 10 at 20 times in order to unlock bonuses.

Rayman Origins is what is done best in terms of 2D platform. Beautiful to die for, smart, funny, accessible but not patronizing, the Ubisoft Montpellier's baby is a faultless, a game of a rare quality that every player should possess in its game library. This success, the game due it to its formidable level design and his good humour. Already brilliant solo, Rayman Origins also takes on another dimension since it is practiced in cooperation with pals. In short, it's a real facelift which is proposed here, a game that will leave you smiling and stars in the eyes. At first I bought Rayman Origins for the challenge that some stages offer, but because of its irreverence and entertaining soundtrack, my brother of 5 years old wanted to play as well, and when I least expected, even my mother was playing with us. It just makes fun to play!
Rayman Origins has a really great Design and the Graphics are amazing. The game itself is very fun to play. I play it with my little brother (7 Years) and my little cousins (7, 9 Years) in the 4 Player Mode. The Gameplay is great and playing with the little guys is very fun. It reminds me of playing Super Mario like in the old days. Definitely a must buy if you want to have fun on your PS3.

Best Platformer Ever
This game is amazing! It looks beautiful in 1080p. Very colourful and there is a big variety of levels. There are levels based around the jungle, fire, ice, sand and more themes. They all have a unique look and are fun to explore. Some levels have bosses which require different strategies to beat them. The controls are very intuitive and responsive. Up to 4 people can play on the same PS3. Later levels get difficult, especially if you want to collect all the stuff. It's easy to learn but hard to master. The only downside is that there is no online co-op mode. If you like games like little big planet you should get this.

Rayman Origins is a fantastic game for all the family: it has great graphics, tight controls, and cute characters. The local co-op mode (up to 4 players) is really funny and well designed, and it's even more enjoyable than the single player as it's a bit easier (you can revive your friends), making it a great game to play with less experienced players. If you are interested in platform games I really recommend that you play Rayman Origins.

The Rebirth of Rayman
I had never liked the Rayman licence, and what's more, I really hated those crazy rabbits. But I must recognise that Rayman Origins is a wonderful game. The visuals and environments are very beautiful and the levels are very smart. The gameplay is very simple but redoubtable. The Best Platformer!
After trying an excellent demo, I bought this game. But my imagination couldn't even predict it was going to be a perfect, colorful, and fun game. It`s the first game which my girlfriend has loved and we play it together in co-op. This is really the best platformer with some hard segments but always interesting. Rayman Origins is an ok game. But I think the sound and the music is way over the top and gets old fast. I only manage to play the game in short bursts just because of the tiresome sound and music design. I think that they should have stuck with the fairytale theme from the older games. Rayman Origins is "just a kind of magic". It will delight all your senses with beautiful HD graphics (1080p), and the music and sound effects are perfectly co-ordinated with the game experience. This game is highly recommended to any gamers. For instance, I played several hours with my 5 year old son to progress into the game story, and some hours alone to complete the more complicated hardcore gamer challenges. Surely the best current 2D platform game. Give it a chance and you will surely be addicted like me.

Rayman Origins is a great game, with it's trademark, brilliant old-school 2D game play, but in gorgeous hand drawn and 60FPS fluid graphics this time around. It's a great example to prove that not every game has to be filled with guns, gore or even 3D graphics to be entertaining and fun. I've had a great time reviving some of my childhood memories with this great platform game, and it's a shame that despite great scores and reviews ,Rayman isn't a very commercially successful game. I recommend that you give it a chance, and take a break from all the first person shooters, downloadable content, online passes and other nonsense the gaming industry is throwing at you. Games can be fun without it, you'll see.
