An entire pleasure

This trilogy is a true moment of gaming pleasure! Playing Splinter Cell in HD on a PS3 is unbelievable! I seem to be like a 10 year-old boy playing an old game, but on a 1080p TV! I really recommend this product.

Splinter Cell collection

The collection is excellent if you have lost your previous copies of the Splinter Cell games or no longer have a working PS2. But be warned the first game in particular freezes when trying to save and the frame rate has not been improved for any of the games despite the cell chip being a better processor than the emotion engine. However for the price of £14.99 you are getting 3 great games that should last about 8 hours each.

Splinter Cell Trilogy: HD Collection

I've been waiting a while for these to come out (though was waiting/hoping they'd be on 360). A classic trilogy back again and upgraded in HD! It isn't the best, but what would you expect to be fair - they look and sound better, but to be honest, for me, just to step back into these games, was the main thing. Creeping around, shooting out lights, watching guard movements for what seemed like hours, with Michael Ironside's voice by your side is what made this game what it is to me. Though the annoying absence to invert controls (added via an update if online) and at a good price, can't really go wrong! I'm holding out for Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 next.

Splinter Cell Trilogy: HD Collection

I wouldn't say it's the best HD collection I've played, in fact, it's probably the worst, but that doesn't mean the gameplay is bad. If you liked these games before, you will again. There are some problems however. The cutscenes - I don't think they have had the HD treatment at all. There is no online or the local co-op as in the originals either. The gameplay is as good as it always was, but I think the overall experience is deducted somewhat by the horrendous voice and mouth movements. I still think it's worth a buy, especially at the price, but I wouldn't pay full retail for it.

Splinter Cell Trilogy: HD Collection

Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell franchise was one of the first games to break new ground on the forefront of stealth game-play. Never before had I felt the awesomeness of sneaking in the shadows, like a ninja. Almost ten years have passed since Sam Fisher donned the green tri-focal headgear, and I remember how our hero saved the world, time and time again, as his age progressed, but never held him back from snapping necks while hanging from the rafters. Ubisoft has finally pulled out Fisher’s original trilogy from the memorabilia closet and blown the dust off to let Sam relive the glory years in HD. His black and toned body garment still fits, but a few steps out on assignment shows that “age” may have finally caught up to him after all. I definitely recommend this game for the nostalgia factor, and the fact that it's still as fun as it ever was.

The Splinter Cell Trilogy is something every PS3 owner should buy in my opinion. Splinter Cell is THE stealth game and this collection gives me the same sensation I felt when I played the games on my PS2, only now they have HD graphics.

Splinter Cell Trilogy

This is a great classic game pack. You can really see how the game's evolve and notice where the various improvements were made. It turns out it's a good way to relax after a long day at work, due to the game's slow style of game play. Love it.

Cool Collection

This Splinter Cell collection is one of the best ways to enjoy this series in its entirity, and it's in HD too! I am not going to ramble on about the games themselves but if you don't know them by now, then you should! Suffice to say they are all excellent, and a must have for any PS3 owner.

Great

If you are a fan of the Splinter Cell series then you must have this collection. A nice remake in HD, near 150 trophies (and 3 platinums, each per game in collection). Stealth game style is amazingly fun and satisfying. You must play clever and slow and not rush like other games today. If you like to play Tom Clancy games, this collection won't dissapoint you.

Splinter Cell Trilogy

If you are a fan of the series you most probably already played the trilogy in the previous generation. Pandora´s Tomorrow and the Original Splinter Cell didn´t really get much upgrade from the HD conversion, quite the opposite for Chaos Theory which holds up the conversion pretty well. The voice acting and soundtracks still pretty good but didn´t received any updates. The gameplay stills very polished and the AI handles itself pretty good. Each episode will take several hours to complete, between 7 to 12 hours and the lack of multiplayer makes it shorter but if you are a Splinter Cell die hard fan you should get this game.

Third Echelon needs you

The moment i saw it for sale, i knew i had to order it. Since, I had many memorable memories of playing the first Splinter Cell on PC. It elevated the stealth gameplay pioneered by Metal Gear but had believable story lines (no offence to metal gear I also love it and can't wait for its HD collection to release) As an HD collection Splinter Cell holds quite well. Although even with the HD makeover the graphic quality is no where near current gen standards but surprisingly it is still acceptable (much better than Prince of Persia HD collection quality). It was also available for download on PSN network but i preferred the blue ray as it felt nice to physically own another PS3 game :) So if you have never experienced splinter cell or if you have worked for third echelon in the past, it is not too late to walk in the shoes of Sam Fisher but Just remember to stay in the dark ...

Decent collection; worth the money

Ubisoft wanted to get in on the HD collection market, so they upscaled the PC ports of the first three Splinter Cell games and they have managed to deliver. If you missed out on the original trilogy and would like to play them again for nostalgia sake or just want a superb stealth game, this is for you.

This is a bargain! You're getting three superb games for a fraction of the price. They look beautiful in HD. The colours, picture and sound are all very sharp. The trophy support will keep you playing for hours on end. MUST BUY! Delivery was also top notch. Very quick and the game was packaged up nicely.

Unbeatable Value

The first time I picked up a Splinter Cell game I became very frustrated that I just couldn't utilize the tool set of protagonist Sam Fisher to navigate the game and so I put it aside, deciding it just wasn't for me. Much later after hearing several game critics gush over Chaos Theory I picked it back up and it just clicked with me. I love how this game gives you so many options and tools and doesn't hand hold you through out. The challange of stealthing and hacking you way into and out of military complexes, banks, and orginzed crime hideouts is so rewarding that most other games with any form of stealth pale in comparison. Getting all three of the first Splinter Cell games in a nice high-res package at this fantastic prise is hard to argue with. The only negatives to the package is that they stubornly stuck with the original controls which change from game to game making it harder to adjust and that you need to quit out to the PS3 menu to switch games.

Sam is back

It's easy to see why Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell is one of the most appreciated games of all times. For one thing, it features an astonishing change of pace from most war related games, seeing that in this subgenre the less you discharge your weapon the better and that on its own could very well be the reason for its success. Well, it isn’t! This game has hands down the best lighting effects seen so far. For another, its main character has a startling variety of moves and instruments designed for the single purpose of helping him hide from his enemies and dispatch them quietly if need be. Splinter Cell is undoubtedly a genre-redefining game. Sneaking through the shadows and using clever gadgets to steer clear of, or remove powerful enemies makes for a brilliant experience. An all-around superb game that offers a polished and rewardingly thrilling gameplay action. If you’ve played these games before nothing better than a trilogy in HD to bring you back to those great times, if you haven’t you should! Lucky you that get to play this for the first time with enhanced quality.
