Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception had me hooked from beginning to end. The plot and script is fantastic. The fast-paced and frantic action. You can not stop playing, want to see what happens next and you go on and play. The graphics are second to none on Playstation 3. For me, an excellent game and that is the indispensable catalogue of Playstation 3.

Good but not great.

I've played both prior games so I knew what to expect, but what I didn't expect was the shooting mechanics to be this bad! I just can't enjoy the game at all.. Uncharted games are not "just shooters" as they involve a lot of platforming and puzzle sections as well, but when 50% of the game involves shooting, then it's a major part of the experience. Somehow the game never feels right. Drake's animations, as he runs around, look like he's a semi-crippled person who's still capable of running and jumping about, while there's constant delay between shooting and melee action that never blends well. Graphics wise it is a competent enough game with a lot of variety and story etch, but at heart, as a game experience it has let me down. If you thought Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was great, then get it, if you had doubts and your felt like something was not perfect, then perhaps rent it instead.

Solid trilogy topper, but the formula is getting old

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception tells of the adventures of Nathan Drake (descendant of the legendary English navigator) and his long-time pal Victor Sullivan as they race to find clues scattered around the world to reveal the location of a hidden lost city. The action is the usual, tried-and-true Uncharted fare with a few small tweaks. It's engaging throughout, and chock-full of memorable, over-the-top action moments. There isn't a dull moment in the entire game, which on its own is a remarkable achievement. Aesthetically, the game is beautiful, with some of the most detailed facial animations I've ever seen, lush environments and the best use of lighting I've ever seen in a game. My only complaint lies in the plot; it starts off great, but lags too much around the middle and then it's over too quickly. It's almost as if the game was rushed, and the interesting main villain ends up feeling criminally underdeveloped. It doesn't help that it's an almost verbatim carbon copy of Uncharted 2. However, the gameplay is enough to keep the game together, and the script is enjoyable nonetheless. The voice acting is stellar as usual and multiplayer is back with more modes (even co-op missions, which can be played online or locally). Uncharted 3 would be a top scorer in my book as a standalone, but as a sequel it fails to improve in a couple of key areas. Nonetheless it's still extremely enjoyable, filled with memorable moments and a worthy addition to the series.

Truly an awesome game. A non-stop action packed game whereby my hands are glued to the control pad. Game should come with a warning of deadly addictive. Was totally absorbed into this game and oblivious to everything else for several hours. Best money spent worth every cent. Must have game.

So after a while absent from gaming I got a new PS3 and the first game I decided to play was Uncharted 3. The previous 2 games of the series were among my best for the current generation so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. And of course I didn't. The game was amazing. Maybe the most advanced graphics in the console so far. The levels in the game are of brilliant in design, lots of beautiful scenery. The character models are even better, especially the skin and the lighting effects on them. The animations seem they have had a little freshen-up as well. The visual effects have been also improved like the fire effects in some certain levels, or other effects like the sand and also the way fire lightens up dark places. The game is jaw dropping at least. Only cons I found is that the controls felt a little awkward especially in moving the player. It could be though that my dualshock sticks are ruined. And also I believe the single player mode is a little bit shorter in duration compared to Uncharted 2. I am not into online gaming so I didn't try the online to write about it but I am sure 'Naughty Dog' has done a great job there as well. Anyway, I don't have to say it, you should probably know it yourself. This game is a must for every PS3 owner who enjoys action games.

The best way to describe Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is that it is a cinematic action Roller-Coaster. There isn't any dull moment, from the awesome cinematics to the platform moments, the game will never allow you to get bored. And this is only the Single Player Mode...The MP is absolutely amazing, it is a breath of fresh air. It has multiple modes, perks, mutators, etc but in an uncharted flavor. This is indeed a must buy.

There are no words enough to describe how epic Uncharted 3 is. It is by far the best action game for PS3. It is difficult for a game to be better than its predecessors especially when they have raised the bar so high, but Uncharted 3 manages this too! Excellent combat style, different/multiple 'battlefields' ,very entertaining, with excellent graphics and an amazing story background of course. The multiplayer is also very amusing and can satisfy all kinds of gamers. I am sure that those who had played Uncharted 1 and 2, would have already bought it! you really would want to experience this game. I recommend it implicitly!!

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is a phenomenal game. This shows the story of Drake and his friends at it's very best. I didn't expect it to be so good. Personally, I believe this contains one of the best stories in a video game, ever. The graphics are too good to be true, and I think it's amazing how good the visuals of a game can look, on a 5-year-old machine. Of course, shooting isn't the best bit of this game, but it's decent enough not to moan about, and honestly, it doesn't spoil the overall experience, you get from the game. I think it's a must-buy game for and Playstation 3 owners. Highly recommended.

Simply put, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is awesome fun. The single player is a blast, with great game play, an interesting story-line, and well-rounded characters. At many points, it strives to feel like you are part of an action-adventure movie - and it achieves it! Gun-use has been improved with a recent patch to fix the aiming, slightly. and the puzzles always offer an interesting challenge. Competitive and co-op multi player modes are also lots of fun, with a great variety of options to suit different players. If you enjoyed the first two games in the series, you certainly won't be disappointed with the third! I highly recommend it.

It should come as no surprise to anyone who has played any of the previous games that this is a top shelf game, with plenty of action, jaw-dropping visuals (viewing on a 3d TV is excellent), and an engaging story which focuses on the friendship between Jake and Sully which acts to further develop the characters. Get on the rollercoaster

Uncharted is a series famous for fantastic graphics and animations, tight gun play and plat forming and great story, voice acting and dialogue. While the first game got a pretty mixed reception, Uncharted 2 knocked it out of the park with nearly perfect scores and multiple game of the year awards from high profile gaming websites and publications all over the world. Following up on such a success can't be easy, but Naughty Dog has created a worthy successor with Drake's Deception. This game looks even sharper and more detailed than Uncharted 2, has more well realised characters taking part in the story and a series of almost too over the top set pieces on your search for a legendary lost city. While there's many amazing things in this game, it still feels like it falls just short of what Uncharted 2 delivered in 2009. The game play is more or less the same, with a few new weapons, enemy types and combat scenarios, the set pieces are, while ridiculously cool, poorly motivated within the framework of the story which in itself lacks some of the character chemistry founded in the previous game. This, however, is just me nit-picking on a fantastic game. If you like Uncharted, you're going to love this. If you've never played the previous iterations, you might as well start here. Highly recommended.
