Description
Directed by Shinji Mikami, the creator of the Resident Evil series, VANQUISH™ is a sci-fi shooter of epic proportions with a fast, fluid and frenetic combat system, and an engaging and immersive storyline.
The story takes place on a vast space station in a near future world where nations war over the planet’s remaining energy resources. Against this backdrop, players take the role of Sam Gideon, a government agent kitted out with a futuristic battle suit. A versatile fighter with a huge arsenal of weaponry at his disposal, Sam also has an array of martial arts skills that he can use to take down his robot enemies.

One of the greatest games I've ever played in my life! Very appealing and challenging, even after clearing the story mode! I loved the way they used technologies that are now in the early stages in a story that takes place in a frighteningly predictable future. Everyone will love this game. It's almost a crime not to buy it at the price zavvi.com is selling it.

Vanquish for PS3
My first copy was totally damaged during shipping, I contacted Zavvi regarding to this matter and sent some photos to them, after just a week I received a brand new one in my mailbox. Happy customer, I will definitely buy from here again. As for the game itself, you'll have to get used to the control and learn how to use each items effectively, great sounds and graphics along with smooth gameplay and great story lines, all packed into this fast paced action game.

Gears of War on Speed
Vanquish's gameplay is kind of like Gears of War... but on speed. Where the COG Soldiers of gears of War move slow and look bulky, the main protagonist of vanquish moves ultra fast, powered by his special armor. This makes for some furious action gameplay. There are explosions everywhere, gigantic robots waiting to be defeated and a nice sci-fi story to accompany the slick gameplay. The only Downturn to me is the relatively short playtime of about seven to nine hours but for a budget-title this is still a great bargain and you get great bang for your buck.

An overlooked fast-paced 3rd person shooter!
If you're ready for fast-paced action then wait no more and get Vanquish! This game was met with mixed reception and I think it's been overlooked. The weapon variation is moderate, I'm satisfied, I don't need 50 different similar weapons. The slow motion and boost mechanics are amazing and gives the game a unique feel.

Vanquish is a sci-fi action third-person shooter, developed by Shinji Mikami and Platinum games. The game play is the core of Vanquish. Spectacular
Vanquish is one of my favourite games of this generation. The amount of polish that has gone into its controls, stages, weapons, enemies and bosses is far beyond most games I've ever played. It's not bogged down by load times, sidequests, minigames or a convoluted storyline, nor is it expecting you to pay for half the content through DLC. Instead, it focuses on what always made games great. Imagine Contra on a next-gen machine, challenging but fair. When you first play, you'll probably be overwhelmed and die quite frequently. Don't be discouraged, as with enough practice I can now play through the whole of Hard difficulty and only die a total of three times. Once you've discovered the uses of each weapon and the weaknesses of each enemy type, each encounter becomes a test of your skill as opposed to trial and error. This game was directed by one of my favourite designers in the industry, Shinji Mikami, who worked on titles such as Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, Resident Evil 4 and God Hand. I recommend each of those games as much as this one.

Great 3rd person experience!
This is without doubt one of the best shooters on the ps3. Fast, smooth controls, great visuals, awesome boss battles. Truly worth your money. The only problem of this excellent experience is that it ends a little too soon. Although for this price it's a bargain!!

Fast and furious
Vanquish is the new production of the newly made Platinum Games. It is a fast paced game with amazing gameplay mechanics and every part of it is well mastered and rendered by the developpers. It is just stunning how fast the action goes although the game has no action reading issues. The story is interesting but not spectacular, the fun does not find its place in the story telling. The game is worth it's price.
