    Description

Brink is an immersive first-person shooter that blends single-player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay into one seamless experience, allowing you to develop your character whether playing alone, with your friends, or against others online. You decide the combat role you want to assume in the world of Brink as you fight to save yourself and mankind's last refuge. Brink offers a compelling mix of dynamic battlefields, extensive customization options, and an innovative control system that will keep you coming back for more.

    Features:

    • Not Just Another Hero - Brink's advanced player customization offers a near-endless combination of looks for your character - allowing for the appearance of your character to be truly unique. As you progress through the game and acquire more experience, you'll have even more opportunities for customization.
    • Two Sides to Every Story - Choose to fight through two complete story campaigns as either a member of the Resistance or Security. Experience these campaigns solo, co-operatively, or competively - it's your choice.
    • Blurring the Lines - Take your unique character online at any time you choose. Brink allows you to seamlessly move between single player, co-op with friends, and intense multiplayer action. Multiplayer takes the story online where you can play with up to seven other people (or AI characters) cooperatively as you take on the opposing faction or with up to 16 players competitively.
    • Play SMART - Brink uses the familiar shooter controls that you're used to and adds a new feature: the SMART button. When you hold down the SMART button, the game dynamically evaluates where you're trying to get to, and makes it happen. Whether you're a seasoned FPS veteran or someone just getting started, you'll be able to make more intelligent decisions during the fast-paced action with SMART.
    • Context-Sensitive Goals and Rewards - Objectives, communications, missions, and inventory selection are all dynamically generated based on your role, your condition, your location, your squad-mates, and the overall status of the battle in all gameplay modes. You'll always know exactly where to go, what to do when you get there, and what your reward will be for success.

    Brink, another level of playing

Brink is a great game, no doubt at all. Another level of playing, fast, exalting. A great purchase.

    The Multiplayer Game

Brink may well be an excellent multiplayer game. A lot of timed objectives to conquer gives you a unique experience. If it's a single player game you are after, do not pick this up. The campaign story is not that immersive, and you'll end the game in a few hours, although there's also a challenge mode, that extends the play experience. If you are a team player, the online multiplayer is great fun.

    Better online

I'm not into on line gaming (was a Quake 2 and Quake 3 pro a long time ago though) nowadays, so I'm judging Brink from offline perspective. The things I liked: 1. Style. It looks great. 2. Parkour. It's fun to run and jump like crazy. 3. Updates. You earn credits that you spend on various updates. And these are really great - you can develop a strategy and stick to it while some updates will be helping a lot. 4. I'm not the one who is crazy about achievements, but these are so easy and fast to get in the game - you can get all of them (including the ones found in DLC) in a few days playing only in the evenings. The main things I didn't like: 1. AI. Man my team is stupid. Enemy team is noticeably better, so it may be really challenging to do a task with no one helping you. 2. Monotonous game play. it's OK for an on line game (hack this, destroy that etc.), but when playing with stupid bots - you get tired of doing the same things over and over again. I would love to give 3.3-3.5 stars to the title, but since I can only select solid numbers - 3 sounds better. Would recommend it for on line gaming though - especially at this price.

    Excellent experience

A great refreshing experience with a nice twist. The multiplayer is highly recommended with great unlockables and features for your characters. The single player is lacking the AI of enemies and friendly but still a great time to play threw the story. Great gameplay that provides you with variety of weapons and gadgets and Parkour style of climbing and jumping on walls and obstacles. Overall a great game spend time in multiplayer and reveal the options that the game offers.

    Much better online

If you plan on buying this, make sure to play it online. In singleplayer, the CPU can be either really stupid, like walking straight past an enemy and getting gunned down instantly, or completely camp it out while on defence. Even though thats what your meant to do, if your attacking and their defending, I found that allies always seem to constantly capture command posts, even though the primary objective is much more important, and you really need them to help you on the last push to win the game. Though all in all, the game is pretty good, the customization is vast, its good online, and the classes are all pretty good, though a little unbalanced. 4\5
