Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is definitely a must-have for fans of action-adventure games. It offers many hours of addictive game play, with high re playability (it is one of the biggest games I have played). Fans of Devil May Cry games are sure to love this one. I highly recommend this game.

Back to the old days

I was a Castlevania fan back in the days of NES and Game Boy and I was really surprised to see how well crafted and respectful this game is. The gameplay is really entertaining (with lots of different combos) and the overall sense of the story never loses the focus, from beginning to end. My girlfriend is playing three hours per day. A good mixture of RPG, platform and action game.

Well worth a look

The game comes on 2 discs, so from the outset you know that it's going to take more than the 6-8 hours of modern campaigns to complete. The game represents excellent value for anyone who wants more of a challenge as the difficulty is higher than most games out there. There is also a lot of replay value in unlocking challenges after levels have been completed, such as defeat a boss in under 2 minutes etc. The main reason for not buying this game is it's high difficulty, it gets frustrating at times, and camera angles as they aren't always the most useful to help navigate the environments. If you want a challenge and not just some easy gamer score, then this is defiantly worth a look!

This is one of the best games played in recent times. From the beginning, we understand the commitment that Konami put um to immerse the player in fantasy world, dark shaded atmosphere. What can I say. If you like action, if you love RPG games with inspiration, then Castlevania for you. It remains a game-lived, that leaves a bitter taste in the mouth ending the story abruptly. This new spectacular film début offers both typical of the masterpieces of Hideo Kojima, the frantic action that has always characterized the series. The iconography of Castlevania is back with a control system that makes the most of the main weapon of the game, like the rest of the set of weapons and items available. Huge and dark creatures in the universe of the antagonists Gabriel Belmont, which will have to use all their skills and weaponry to defeat them.

When the game first hit the shelves I didn't know what to think, mainly because I have never heard about the game until I saw it in the shops. I can tell you now that this is an authentic action game. I don't know how many action games newcomers will actually enjoy this game, but all the action game maniacs will really love Castlevania. I can assure you that if you like the action genre you will definitely not be disappointed.

Dead End Kyo

At first when I saw the game I wasn't too sure. But once I started playing Castlevania: Lords of Shadows it turned out to be quite an enjoyable game, the game itself is quite long (spanning up to 12 chapters), very nice visuals & scenery, some amazing boss fights against titans, some fun & challenge puzzles, trials to test yourself & simple achievements to add to your gamerscore. What makes this Castlevania different to past titles & being 3D is that this is re-telling the story anew, so people new to the series can start somewhere.
